UPDATE: Just got another update that they may only show the first hour of the premiere. Ooooooo torture!

This is great news! I got my airline tickets for my LOST vacation just before the premiere date was announced, and not this is happening the the day after I arrive in Honolulu!

The sunset on the beach program is free. In the past, most of the actors show up and it’s a good time. Heavens knows we need the tourist $.

no, everyone just grabs a blanket and sits on beach, for those who are going get there early! this place is going to be PACKED! i would suggest scoping a spot around 2pm (no kidding), laying down a blanket (everyone respects in Hawaii) and then go walk waikiki, grab food, shop etc…
by the way, if you haven’t heard the reason ABC does the premiere early in hawaii- is because it’s a sort of thank you for the aloha our state has shown.
I guess this means I should avoid all Lost news for a few days before the premiere.
Holy mother of god. I’m actually going to be in Hawaii for a family visit. Bought the tickets ages ago but I’m actually going to be there on the 30th.
I am not going to be in Hawaii any time in the foreseeable future. So this news excites me not one erg.

Well, there goes Darlton and ABC’s “no-leak” attempts.
I know, I know, technically it wouldn’t be a “leak” because ABC is choosing to do this, but this will create a three day spoiler mine-field that I, for one, am not looking forward to.
Let’s face it – who are the folks who would fly to Hawaii and come crawling out of the woodwork for this thing? Only the LOST super-fans. Who are the bloggers and commentors who won’t be able to wait three days to hit the net with spoilers? Those same LOST super-fans.
I just don’t see how anything in the premiere will be kept secret. I don’t know, it just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it’s because I can’t be one of the people there.
