Jace from Televisionary.com talked with Darlton and got the boys to give a long reaching hint on the remainder of season 5 that will drive you mad!  Don’t push play if you don’t want spoilers.

My thoughts:

1) Libby’s story is done?  I’m sorry, did I miss the episode where they revealed why she was at Santa Rosa with Hurley?

2) Couple of characters we’ve heard a lot about but haven’t seen much:  Jacob, for sure.  Keith Strutter?  Okay, I’ll admit it… I’m at a total loss on number 2.

Wasn’t Keith Strutter a founding member of Geronimo Jackson?

  2. boonesghost says:

    From Lostpedia:

In DJ Dan’s First Live Podcast of August 11, 2006, Dan identified Keith Strutter as the guitarist and founder of Geronimo Jackson, and noted that Strutter’s previous band was called the Karma Imperative. He also said that Strutter started Geronimo Jackson in the ’60s.

Libby was a crazy lady with a boat. What else is there to be told? :)
Jacob definitely one of the ones we’ve heard about but haven’t seen much.
    What about Pierre Chang?
    What about Alvar Hanso?
    What about Radzinsky?

  4. Malakai says:

Radzinsky is another people have heard of but never seen

  5. Uncle Beaver says:

    Karen and Gerald DeGroot.
    Magnus and Alvar Hanso.
    The giant Hurley-Bird?

I’d like to know how DHARMA first found the Island, and how they figured out how to get BACK to the Island to start building research stations.

“I’m sorry, did I miss the episode where they revealed why she was at Santa Rosa with Hurley?”

Well, yeah, there’s that :-P , but what about: was it mere coincidence that Libby paid for Des’ coffee and minutes later was giving him her dead husband’s sailboat? Hmmmm….

Definitely want to find out more about the DeGroots and the Hanso’s, maybe that’ll be season 6.

  7. Hexonxonx says:

They had also played up Libby’s story in past interviews on several occasions, saying it would be in season 3, then season 4, then season 5. I think now they’ve realized that it’s too late in the game to do a Libby reveal and have it matter. I don’t think most casual fans remember the ending of Dave or the scene in the season 2 finale. I definitely think they had an answer in mind all this time but never actually got to pull the trigger on it. Maybe they’ll tell us after the show finishes?

  8. Patrick says:

    can i have a transcript?

    my computer has no sound

    :(

  9. Kevin JJ says:

Well, just like in life, we aren’t given all the answers. Fill in the blanks yourself!
Libby went crazy after her husband died and went to a mental institution. Pretty self explanatory I think.

  10. Dr violence says:

Radzinsky is in the next few episodes for a fact…

  11. Pauul says:

Wait… so they’re saying that after waiting since Season 2 that they’re NOT going to tell us the rest of Libby’s story? That sucks! They can’t do that. I don’t care if the casual viewer doesn’t care. At this point most of their audience is hardcore fans anyway. Just put any crucial information in a ‘Previously on Lost’ before the episode and then have a bunch of flashbacks in the episode which ties Libby’s story up. As a fan I want those answers just as much as I want to know what the smoke monster is. In fact, given Libby was one of my favourite characters I want those answers more.

I know that a lot of people think this season has been great, there have been a lot of reveals, but the whole things seems rushed. I agree with Kevin JJ when he says that we aren’t going to get all the answers, because I think Darlton respects the viewers intelligence enough to figure some things out on their own, but if you tell us we’re going to get a persons back story, do it. I cant help but think that Libby was way more revelant when they didn’t know when the story would end versus now, when they have an end date. To me, we’ve gone from one extreme to the other.

    • Crazy Bearded Jack says:

From what I’ve read/heard, the Libby thing is out of their control. It has to be something with Cynthia Watros’s contract, or something to that regards. I don’t blame Darlton.

  13. JoeNobs says:

I don’t know if I’d feel extremely angry if Libby’s story was left untold but I would definitely be upset about it. As many others are saying, there are more important things that I want to have answers about but I always found Libby extremely intriguing, seeing as she was sort of a thread that was weaved into multiple different stories. I figured that there was going to be some big reveal as to why she was on the plane in the first place that would have larger significance in the plot. In addition, I always assumed that her last name would contain a significant reveal itself, maybe tying her to some characters we know already, which would be cool. Like I said, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if she was just some random woman who came into contact with these characters but that doesn’t seem like a very Lost-ish explanation to me.

  14. The Magician says:

I’m going with Jacob (there was a character listed as Jason in the finale casting sheet) that could very well be him…

  15. ChrisO says:

Without question they are talking about Dharma people. Razinski I’m sure is one of them.

  16. toga says:

    “The giant Hurley-Bird?”

    XDDDDDDDD

  17. Nikita says:

I’d guess at Kelvin Inman and Radzinsky. Per Lostpedia, Darlton said that the Others probably didn’t know about the Swan hatch or at least where it was located, so these two men escaped the Purge. That story would definitely be an interesting one!

  18. Nikita says:

    Just another thought…..Annie….

  19. Brett Samms says:

I’d have to examine with you here. Which is not something I normally do! I get pleasure from reading a post that can make folks think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to remark!

  20. Myself as well as my lady were pondering concerning this subject. And yet the thruth is, one can’t put your trust in things written in world-wide-web.
