Episcope - WIN!

Cool feature, and some really cool insights to a great episode.

Wow, cool feature, Doc.

I don't think time moves differently on the island in the sense that it could ever trail the island in real time. Its just the transfer from the outside world to the island that creates the time shift. The sun still rises and sets on the island, a day is 24 hours. It simply wouldn't make any sense for them to be years behind. It just has to do with the transfer.

Is Ben having time/consciousness jumps?

Hmmm...Damon answered your satt phone question in Popular Mechanics:

DL: Here's the scoop for Popular Mechanics: According to the rules of our show, a communication between sat phones is not affected by temporal distortion, but if you were to send a radio broadcast and/or a telegraph message, it would be affected by temporal distortion. That's the scoop for Popular Mechanics and Popular Mechanics only, and it will make a lot more sense after you've seen the first episode back.

Was it yjust me of Widmore, who always had a british accent, spoke with Ben in an australian accent?

If anyone wants to make a "Dharka" this site has some really good Dharma logo patches. No Orchid yet, but they put a Tempest patch up a few days after the episode aired.

I don't think the doctor is necessarily alive, it's entirely possible the person on the ship who replied was simply lying, or unaware that he was dead and gone.

James said:

Here's a question for you. Why does Dr. Ray still have stitches on his facial wound when he washes up dead, when the stitches were already out on the freighter. I'm calling it. This confirms there is more than one time line in play. Now that is an easter egg!

J said:

Or possibly the doc has a double, like the bunnie in the Orchid Orientation vid.

Melkay,
Actor Jim Dale is Australian

Rod said:

He's ALAN Dale. But the thing is, his accent really changes and that's just one more to the pile of weird.

Sassy said:

You're both wrong. The actor is Alan Dale and he is from New Zealand.

Sill something that keeps coming back:
what the black smoke is?

On the other hand why did Widmore told Ben: I know what you are. So what is Ben? And why do they both know that Ben can't kill him? Who does not allow him to do it?

I think there's more to it than a time-machine island. Sometimes I feel some spiritual bg to these characters like they would be somewhat supernatural. And if we think about Jacob, this feeling grows stronger.

I like toitles!

The three similar paintings look like
1) Ben's mother
2) Annie, his childhood friend at Dharma
3) Juliet

Very sweet!

I think Widmore was ON the Black Rock. I think he was the Captain of the original slave ship and that he has to return to the island to die, a la Michael. Just sayin'.
