The son of Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks and celebrated actress/producer Rita Wilson is Chet Haze, also known as Chet Hanx and Chester Hanks. The films “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” , “Bratz” , “Project X” ,  “Larry Crowne” , and “Fantastic Four”, as well as the television series “Shameless” , “Maron” , “Empire”, and “Your Honor”, all feature Chet.

Chet Haze Early Life

On August 4, 1990, in Los Angeles, California, Chester Marlon Hanks was given the name Chet Haze. He is the first child of Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks’ second wife, and the third child overall. Chet has two half-siblings, Colin Hanks and Elizabeth, as well as a brother named Truman. Haze’s parents enrolled him in Second Nature, a wilderness therapy programme designed for troubled teenagers, when he was a senior in high school. Chet played lacrosse while attending the Oakley School, a therapeutic boarding school. He later enrolled at Northwestern University to study theatre. Haze became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while attending Northwestern.

Chet made his acting debut in the 2007 movie “Bratz,” and he then made an appearance in the fourth instalment of the “Indiana Jones” series, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” in 2008. He appeared as a pizza delivery boy in the 2011 Julia Roberts and his father romantic comedy “Larry Crowne.”

He also released the song “White and Purple” that same year, adapting Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” lyrics to make reference to Northwestern’s team colours. He starred in the found footage movie “Project X” in 2012, which brought in $102.7 million overall against a $12 million budget. Chet portrayed Jimmy Grimm, Ben Grimm’s older brother and The Thing, in the superhero movie “Fantastic Four” in 2015. He met Drew Arthur in 2016, and the two of them started a band called FTRZ. In 2018, they released the “Ocean Park EP” and the singles “NowhereLand” and “Models.” In 2020, they released the singles “Ticket Out My Head” and “Harley” under the name Something Out West after changing their previous moniker to FTRZ.

Haze had recurring roles as Trey on IFC’s “Maron” in 2016 and Charlie in seven episodes of the Showtime series “Shameless” from 2016 to 2018. He made appearances on the television shows “Tales” (2017), “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (2017), “NCIS: New Orleans” (2021), and “Atlanta” (2022), and in 2018, he was cast in a recurring role on the Fox drama “Empire” as rapper Blake Sterling in the fourth season. For season five, Chet received a promotion to the main cast and made an overall appearance in 17 episodes of the show. He co-starred with his father in a minor role in the war drama “Greyhound” in 2020, and from that year to the following, he appeared in the Showtime series “Your Honor” with Bryan Cranston and Hope Davis.

Micaiah, Chet’s daughter, was conceived in April 2016. Tiffany Miles, a former coworker of Haze, is Micaiah’s mother. Chet claims that his daughter was instrumental in getting him sober. He continued by saying that his parents had helped him along the way to sobriety.

Haze, his parents, and brother received Greek citizenship in 2020 as a result of Tom and Rita’s efforts to raise awareness of the 2018 Attica wildfires. Chet supported the Black Lives Matter movement on Instagram in the summer of 2020, and later that year he stopped using social media because of “pro-Trump conspiracy theorists” harassing the Hanks family. On the day that Joe Biden was expected to win the presidential election, he posted an anti-Trump video on Instagram when he came back in November 2020.
