That’s right- Our beloved Jin will be reprising the role of Chin Ho Kelly in the upcoming remake.

Perhaps Kim wanted to stay in Hawaii close to his burger joint… The reboot will be brought to us by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci from Fringe Fame and also from CSI NY.
It is too soon to speculate on the show as the part of Detective Steve Mcgarret has not been cast as of yet… With all our castaways taking jobs on new shows it solidifies the reality of the end of LOST.

Whats worse is that none of these shows can really give us LOST fans what we’ve been obsessing over about LOST. Let’s hope Disney doesnt make a mockery out of the best show in TV history when LOST is over- and lets also hope we can watch our Lost actors play parts that wont disappoint simply because they aren’t on the Island…

Gainey who played Mr.Friendly aka Tom in Lost recently spoke to a reporter at an airport about whether or not he will make a return to Lost and his new show ‘Happy Town’.

Click the link to watch the short video interview :

After watching this I went and found the following information on his new ABC show which he claims is the next Lost :

It is apparently similar in style to Twin Peaks (yes!!!!). Set in a small town dealing with a murder, its first crime in seven years, it focuses mainly on the town sheriff who has to solve the case. I can’t wait to see this actor in another show, especially one reminiscent of Twin Peaks, sounds like TV heaven to me!!

I just found this small interview with Jorge Garcia aka Hurley and thought I would share it with you all. It contains very mild spoilers and very few but I will warn anyway for all you spoilerphobes! He talks about past scenes, his personal life and being called dude. Enjoy.

Let’s start with some short non Lost questions. What’s the best band ever?
Ever? Ooo! That’s a bold question. It’s hard to deny the Stones although I listen to the Beach Boys more often.

Who’s the most famous person on your mobile phone?
J.J. Abrams?

What’s guaranteed to make you mad?
If anyone hurts my dog.

What’s your most extravagant purchase ever?
A painting.

What’s the most outrageous thing you’ve ever heard about yourself?
That I’m a sex symbol.

Who would you most like to go to the pub with for one hour?
Shane MacGowan

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
I’m a Ferrari. If they should want to make their movie with say a Hyundai. It doesn’t take away from em being a Ferrari.

What’s been your worst fashion disaster?
I don’t know. I sometimes try to run errands early in the morning in the clothes I’ve slept in.

What’s your favorite smell?
New rain on hot asphalt.

Do you have any recurring dreams?
No, but last night I dreamt a bunch of us were being attacked by hippos that could get up on their hind legs.

What’s your favorite swear word?
I’ll save this question for James Lipton.

What is your favorite part about filming in Hawaii?
Pretty much that. I’m filming in Hawaii. There’s nothing like it.

And what’s the worst part?
Bugs I guess.

What has been your favorite scene of the series to date which included you?
Hmm… I shot one that hasn’t aired yet that I like very much. I can’t say right now though.

And what is your favorite scene without you?
I liked the scene when Locke is trying to convince Jack to push the button. I’m actually in it, but I’m kinda on the sidelines. I just like being a spectator on set for it.

If you could change a scene of a previous episode on Lost, which one would it be, how would you change it and why would you change it?
I’d probably cut the scene where Hurley dips mango in ranch dressing.

During which scene did you have the most fun?
Driving the van was fun.

If you had to pick any other actor to play the role of Hurley who would you pick?
I don’t know.

Do you want to know Libby’s back story as much as the fans do?
Yes.

Are you enjoying the Dharma Initiative 70s storyline?
The jumpsuits are a lot of fun.

The information we have on Episode 13 so far implies that Hurley and Miles are going to have a lot of screen time. Would you consider this episode to be a Hurley centric, a Miles centric, or is the focus pretty much equally balanced?
Well it’s not hurley centric.

Does Hurley get some kick-ass lines/scenes in episode 13?
Yes.

What do The Numbers mean to you?
I don’t really think about them too much.

Why do you think Hurley can see Jacob’s Cabin?
Because he’s “touched”

How many times in your life did someone walk up to you and said “Dude…”?
Don’t know. It happened today though.

Do you like it when people recognize you and ask for an autograph or a photo?
It’s usually fine.

Did you film scenes for upcoming episodes with people Hurley has never interacted with before? (Richard, Faraday etc.)
Yes.

Which character/actor would you like to spend more screen time with?
I don’t know. I enjoy shooting with everybody.

Do you think you’re going to cry when you finished shooting/watching the last scene of season 6?
I might.

Sterling Beaumon who plays the role of young Ben Linus, took time out recently to talk to ZAP2it about his Lost theories, his character’s real age and his thoughts on Benjamin Linus.

Part two of the interview will be available tomorrow.

No outright spoilers are given in this interview, but he does talk about his opinions on what may be happening overall so be warned!

Tomorrow I will Post ZAP2it’s part two of the interview where Sterling reportedly talks about the online Lost community and the end of ‘He’s Our You’.

Source : Zap2it

Zap2it: Tell me about the moment when the performing bug first took hold in your life.

Sterling Beamon: I don’t know…I think it was when my mom took me to a performance of the “Nutcracker” in San Diego, and I thought, “I want to be up there on the stage!” So it sort of evolved from there, and it went into a modeling agent, who said I could do commercials, and then I got a commercial agent, who said I could do TV shows, so I got a theatrical agent, and it kept on evolving.

Zap2it: Would you say that Ben Linus is the role you’re most identified with now?

SB: For adults, it’s definitely Ben. But for kids, it’s the Universal movie “Mostly Ghostly,” which played on the Disney Channel. But you know adults, they don’t want to come up to you and ask a kid, “Aren’t you on blah blah blah?” and get it wrong. So I think adults are almost a little scared to ask. But kids definitely recognize me and come up to me.

Zap2it: “Lost” is notorious for keeping its actors in the dark about the twists and turns ahead in the show. As an actor, how do you play scenes in which your character’s overall arc is in the dark?

SB: It’s really hard, especially because [director] Jack Bender said to me, “Don’t act like Ben, or you’ll ruin what’s coming up,” and I didn’t know what was coming up.

Zap2it: When did Jack tell you this: during “The Man Behind the Curtain,” or your work this season?

SB: My work this season, because in my first episode this season [“Namaste”] Jack told me, “Sterling, act like Ben and you’ll never be on the show again.” Jokingly, of course. What he was saying was that I doing enough of Ben already, and if I tried to, it would just be cheesy and ruin it. He wanted it to be subtle.

Zap2it: So, are you saying you approach Young Ben like a character in and of itself, as opposed to someone that will later be played by Michael Emerson?

SB: I think I’m a little bit of both. I think Ben is a sweet kid, but he has that mean streak, like, if something makes him mad, or he really, really wants something, then he definitely will [act like the older Ben].

Zap2it: That ties into a question from Jake, one of our readers: “What is it like for you to play the younger version of someone we know becomes, at the very least, morally questionable later in their life?”

SB: [laughs] It’s not that hard, it’s just that you have to think about it. You have to think about what you’re doing. Ben as a kid, and Ben [as an adult], he’s always thinking…he always thinks about what’s next. He’s very devious.

Zap2it: I agree, and that brings up something from Season 3: when Ben lets the rabbit go through the sonic fence, is that kind of what you’re talking about?

SB: I think it is. And truthfully, I have questions if that was really his rabbit. Or maybe that’s where Marvin Candle got the idea about testing on rabbits.

Zap2it: During his first meeting with Richard, do you think Ben has any sense of his future destiny, or do you think he’s simply someone seeking to escape his life?

SB: I just played it as someone who wants to get the heck out of there.

Zap2it: A few of the Zap2it readers want to know: After wrapping “Curtain,” did you get any clue from the “Lost” production staff that you might come back at some point?

SB: Well, not from the production staff. But all the makeup people, and the wardrobe people, and the hair people, and a lot of the crew said, “Sterling, you’ll be back, see you soon.” And little did I know, they thought it would be in the near, near future. But when I went back this time it was like a big, big reunion. [In terms of time between appearances], when I first played Ben, he was supposed to be 11-12, but now he’s supposed to be 14-15.

Zap2it: OK, so when Sayid talks about getting a chicken salad sandwich from a 12-year old Benjamin Linus, that’s not literally true?

SB: He’s actually 14 or 15 at that point. But he’s just saying “12” because actually you’ll find out later how old he really is.

Zap2it: Here’s a question our readers wanted to know: how did you enjoy finally working with the rest of the main cast?

SB: It was a lot of fun. The thing is, the first time around, it wasn’t hard to play Ben because I didn’t know who Ben was! I hated the show before I was on it because it was a competitor of another show I was on ABC, and the other show that I guest starred on kept getting pre-empted because of “Lost.” And I absolutely hated “Lost” for that reason. So when I met people, I hadn’t really watched enough of it to understand the significance of the people. So I had met Michael [Emerson] and Josh [Holloway], but I didn’t realize how big they were to the show. So this last time, when I was actually working with a lot of them, I was like, “Oh my gosh…you’re Jack! You’re Ben! You’re Sawyer! You’re Kate!”

Zap2it: You just mentioned Michael Emerson. Have you two actually talked behind the scenes, trying to develop the character together? What advice has he given you about the role, if anything?

SB: Well, we really haven’t. I mean, before I didn’t know a lot about Ben, and he didn’t give me any pointers. But this last time, since I’m a big fan of the show now, and watch it like an addict, I actually talked theories with him, and he had some pretty interesting ones.

Zap2it: OK, such as? Give me one.

SB: One that we both sorta think is true: Locke and Ben are brothers. Because their mom has the same name, so same mom and different dads…or maybe even the same dad, we don’t know who Locke’s father is!

Zap2it: Now you’ve got me intrigued. Have any other ones you can share with us?

SB: You remember Marvin Candle’s kid in the beginning of Season 5? I believe that’s Miles. And I know one of those [two theories] is true, because I once ran into Damon Lindelof, and asked him if any of these three theories is true. The first one is that Annie is Charlotte. And of course now we know that’s not true because we saw Young Charlotte at the age of three when Annie would be my age. So the only two left are “Ben and Locke are brothers” and “Miles is Marvin Candle’s kid,” and Damon said, “One of those is true.” But he never said that more than one of them isn’t, so I think both of them are.

Matthew claimed he is a big fan of Lost, but knows that after being stereotyped on television as Chandler Bing from friends, his chances are slim.

Matthew says, “I want to be on that show so bad, but people would be like, ‘What’s Chandler doing on the island?’ So it isn’t going to happen. But I am truly addicted to the show. I even follow the story lines online.”

Knowing this it seems Matthew Perry is possibly a blog and forum follower like the rest of us, you never know who is lurking!

Speaking at the premiere of her new film ‘Fast And Furious’ , she said “You know I am tired of coming up with theories, because every single time I come up with a damn theory you know, there goes JJ Abrams to pop that theory and turn it to s**t”

Michelle previously played the role of Ana-Lucia in Lost, an ex-police officer who was in the tailsection of the plane. She also said “So I don’t know what to say now, I am scared that he might pop my theory again. So I am just gonna keep shut and wait for the answer. You know, patiently like the rest of the world.”

From the past to the future, the time for ‘Lost’ has arrived

“The big questions we posed in the finale are things we address right out of the box: We saw the island disappear. Where did it go and, more importantly, when did it go? What happened to the people who were on the island?” executive producer Carlton Cuse says.

The Emmy-winning drama won’t dawdle charting the course of the Oceanic 6, the group of castaways who escaped the mysterious isle, as troubled leader Jack (Matthew Fox) tries to persuade his comrades to go back. “That’ll actually happen, probably earlier than people think,” says Fox, who says Jack realizes that his effort to save castaways has imperiled them.

The pace, which had become too slow for some viewers, revved up — both in telling stories and resolving mysteries — after the 2007 decision to end the series after six seasons, cast members say. The next season won critical praise.

With no end date, the writers “had to leave as many doors open as possible just in case they had to carry the show on for another eight years or five years,” says Evangeline Lilly (Kate). With a date determined, “it was like a sailboat sitting on stale waters and suddenly the wind picks up. Everybody felt refreshed and excited.”

If the producers are responding to fans by answering questions quickly, they also are asking more from them as Wednesday’s two-hour premiere starts Lost on its final 34 hours.

Always a mix of adventure, romance, humor, mystery and sci-fi, Lost will delve deeper into science. Real space-time and time-travel theories mixed with Lost‘s own physics will help explain the disappearance of the island.

Earlier episodes with Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) laid out a Lost rule: You can’t change your destiny. Desmond’s mental ability to move through time and space makes him a “wild card,” executive producer Damon Lindelof says.

“The show is getting vastly intricate as it moves into its end game, and the degree of difficulty is increasing,” he says. “It’s like college: Senior year should be harder than freshman year, but it’s all the more fulfilling, and hopefully everyone will get their degrees.”

Keeping loyal fans happy

He and Cuse, long Lost partners, know that approach isn’t likely to draw new viewers, but they hope to reward dedicated fans and recapture some who’ve dropped off.

Last season, Lost averaged 13.3 million viewers (No. 20 in viewers; No. 10 in young adults), a solid showing but part of a gradual decline since its premiere in 2004.

Character stories remain at Lost‘s core, producers say, and details of relationships, such as the Ben Linus (Michael Emerson)-Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) rivalry, are integral to the story.

Heretofore unknown connections will be revelatory. A familiar face, the late Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez), reappears in the premiere.

“You got used to certain personality types among our beloved Lost-aways. Some of them are revealing secret sides to their nature now. Some are being placed in higher and more dramatic profile,” Emerson says.

Fans interested in the romantic quadrangle of Jack, Kate, Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) will see significant developments.

“You know there’s always another side to the square. Just keep flipping the Rubik’s Cube around and you’ll find another story,” Holloway says.

Mysteries will be revealed

Viewers also will learn what Sawyer said to Kate before jumping from the helicopter carrying the Oceanic 6 away from the island, one of last season’s unanswered questions.

“Even more than the mythology of the island, the mystery of who these people are is what we really feel drives our stories,” Cuse says.

Multiple storytelling techniques, including the signature flashbacks and flash-forwards, will propel Lost.

The show is now divided in time between the remaining castaways, dealing with the immediate aftermath of the island’s disappearance, and the mainline lives of the Oceanic 6, whose stories are happening up to three years later.

“It feels like we’re working on two different shows,” says Yunjin Kim, whose Sun is one of the Oceanic 6. “I saw Elizabeth the other day and I was like, ‘Hey, how are you? How is your show going?’ “

Island historians should be satisfied at the season’s end, Cuse says, as more is revealed about what happened there before the crash of Oceanic 815 that launched the series.

On the mainland, a big mystery remains: What did Locke (Terry O’Quinn), now Jeremy Bentham, say to the former islanders, including Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), who as a young castaway played with the dog Vincent? And how did Bentham end up in a casket?

Once members of the Oceanic 6, and possibly others, get back to the island, learning what they must do next and how they might save themselves will lay the groundwork for the sixth season and a definitive conclusion, producers say.

“We do believe that the ending of the show will be a resolution, and one that will be satisfying,” Cuse says.

“It’s not like it’s going to be a copout, that it all took place in a snow globe or in the dog’s mind.”

Adds Lindelof: “Or in a snow globe in the dog’s mind.”

To my count, this is the fourth “sneak peak” released by ABC that aired last night during the enhanced version of There’s No Place Like Home (Parts 1, 2, & 3). Even though it was officially released by the ABC, many consider clips from upcoming episodes as spoilers. Enjoy!

I’m personally very interested to learn about what happened to Sayid to make him stop working for Ben.

Warning for anyone who doesn’t read titles…there’s a spoiler below…

All I want for Christmas is a spoiler about Juliet from Lost. — Samy
MATT:

Hmmm. Since we have missed that Yuletide deadline, how about I promise you a present in time for, I dunno, St. Patrick’s Day? Because sadly, the lady doc’s Season 5 storyline won’t really heat up until then. (But once it does, it’ll be in a way that makes some fans very happy.)

Will this be the fabled Juliet/Sawyer hook up? I know I’m not one of the fans that will be very happy. I’ve been rooting for Jack and Juliet since their first lunch together in the Hydra. And if Sawyer and Juliet are hooking up, what’s that mean for Kate when she gets back to the island? What will it mean for Jack? First he had to deal with Kate running back and forth, and now it looks like he may have to deal with Juliet doing the same. Perhaps Juliet and Kate will cat-fight over Sawyer, and leave Jack in the cold altogether.

Here’s a relationship prediction for season 5:

Sawyer ends up with both Kate and Juliet. Jack will have a new love interest in Rose, who has recently lost Bernard due to flaming arrows on the beach. Those two do have some history…

With all the hype of the new season starting in just seven days, many may have forgotten that Lost actually starts tonight! ABC is reairing the season four finale as an enhanced broadcast. So for those of you craving a little Lost before next week, be sure to tune in at 8PM tonight. ABC will be rebroadcasting parts 1, 2, and 3 of There’s No Place Like Home. Here’s your chance to relive the magic!

I personally find the enhanced rebroadcasts to be quite amusing. They show the facts and trivia listed at the bottom, but it comes across very slowly. I’m not complaining though. Any Lost at all is better than no Lost. I’m just crossing my fingers that we’ll see a new promo tonight. Maybe some new footage will go along with it.

Get excited, guys! Season five is only 7 days away!

Damon and Carlton spoke with Mo Ryan at the Chicago Tribune. There are minor spoilers in the piece – overall, though, I think it provides a really good sense of where season 5 is going, and even pieces of season six. Hats off to Mo Ryan for asking all the right questions, such as…

Obviously the big Season 5 question is, why do they have to go back to the island? Why is it so important that they go and why do they all have to go? In some ways, is that the story of this season?

Lindelof: The why of it all is always the hardest mystery to deal with on the show. If you were to say, “Locke tells them, ‘Hey, this is all happening for a reason,’” and then you’d say, “Well, what is that reason? Why were all those people on that plane?” Obviously that stuff is coming downstream. Probably much of it will be hinted at in Season 5, but why these people, why this time, why this place, why that plane? It’s Season 6 territory.

Thanks to LOST-Media.com for the images and Leah_Kate at Fish Biscuit Land for the transcripts. TVGuide’s upcoming cover story on LOST packs some very interesting intel, sure to spark a lot of discussion amongst LOST fans. For sure this is the best collection of thought provoking spoilers and hints so far – if your head doesn’t feel like it’s going to explode after this one, you’re just not a fan. Beware, there are spoilers.

“…and what of Kate’s other star-crossed love, the sexy con-man Sawyer? “Just two nights ago, I was doing a scene on a patio with Josh Holloway,” Lilly spills. “When Kate first sees Sawyer, there’s almost a feeling of seeing a ghost. I really believe she thought he was dead.”

“…”We all don’t succeed” in getting back to the island, teases Yunjin Kim, whose character, Sun, “takes matters into her own hands” in her quest to avenge the death of husband Jin.”

“”Terry O’Quinn (Locke) appears in only half of the dozen new episodes shot so far, but he isn’t complaining. “Previously, that would have been a disappointment, but the stuff I’ve gotten to do [this season] has been so good.”"

“This season tweaks the flash-forward and flashback formula, but time will continue to play an almost adversarial role in the characters’ attempts to free themselves from the island’s grasp. “I have no idea where I’m at or what I’m doing,” says Josh Holloway (Sawyer), speaking from home after weathering a rainy-night shoot that lasted until 3 a.m.”

“Blame all this time-traveling on Lindelof, who identifies himself as an expert on the subject. “If it relates to any kind of time-travel, I’ve read it or seen it or studied it,” he says, explaining that Lost’s time travel differs from how the device is employed on NBC’s Heroes, where good and bad incarnations of the same character routinely interact to alter future events. “Those are things we are very disinclined to do,” maintains Cuse. Still, says Kim, viewers will find out later this season that certain characters “change something in the past, which is a huge turn in the story line.”

“The producers plan to delve more deeply into the island’s earlier residents. “We’re really interested this season in showing more of the history of the island’s inhabitants,” says Cuse. Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) says her character comes in contact with ruins of the island’s ancient civilization, while Holloway says “a whole new crew of people with a connection to the Dharma Initiative are introduced,” – one of whom may be Sawyer’s new love interest. Additionally, Emerson says, “We discover there are people Ben fears and to whom he must answer.”

“Despite Matthew Fox’s claim that he knows where it’s all headed, the rest of the cast remains in the dark about the questions viewers most want answered. But it’s a welcome conundrum to those like Jorge Garcia, who recently found himself exploring with childlike wonderment the Lost soundstages. There, in a dark corner, he came upon a structure he describes as “the greatest set I have ever seen on this show. It’s where a pretty climactic moment occurs and sets a lot of things in motion. I didn’t even have a scene in there, but I was like [gasps], ‘Oh, my gosh – is this the thing??’” How about a hint? “I can’t,” he apologizes. “It’s too good.”

There’s a rundown of what D&C consider to be the 10 episodes that most prepare viewers for Season 5. I’ll skip TV Guide’s summaries fo the eps, but give D&C’s spoilery hints:

Walkabout – “Locke and his relationship to the island is very central to the fifth season,” teases Lindelof.

White Rabbit – Christian returns. And “the fact that Christian’s wearing white tennis shoes is a mystery that will be answered this season,” Cuse says.

Deus Ex Machina – “We will learn the whole nature of why the Swan Station exists.”

The 23rd Psalm – “You learned the monster was able to pull memories from a character’s life,” reminds Cuse. A greater understanding of the monster will come this season.

Live Together, Die Alone – At last! The statue will make a reappearnce, but the big questions – why four toes? Who built it? – will have to wait for Season 6.

Flashes Before Your Eyes – Establishes that characters have no control over their ultimate fates. “Only on the choices they make on the way there,” says Lindelof. Cuse says Fionnula Flanagan is “important in the overall storytelling of Lost.”

The Man Behind the Curtain – “You’ll be seeing some of the Dharma Initiative characters you’ve seen in the past,” confirms Cuse. “You’re going to get a nice juicy chunk of Ben’s backstory this year.”

The Constant- The consequences of incorrectly entering or exiting the island (on the wrong compass bearing) will play a crucial role as the Oceanic Six attempt their return. Midway through the season, we will learn the island pulled off one doozy of a masquerade.

The Shape of Things to Come – “There’s a lot of mystery about the power struggle between these two men (Ben and Widmore),” says Cuse. “Are they both bad guys? Is one a bad guy? Or are they ultimately both good guys? That’s something we are exploring more this year.”

There’s No Place Like Home-
“The season premiere is basically Part 4 of the finale.” Locke’s faith will continue to be tested by the island and/or Jacob – likely with “great personal sacrifice” says Cuse. We’ll see Locke’s death midway through the season, though a central question on the series – What does the island ultimately want with Locke? – won’t be answered until Season 6.

Josh Holloway will appear in this weeks Playboy (Including digital edition) 20 question, as well as “Josh Holloway’s 21st Question” which will be available here on January 16th. Playboy was good enough to send along a sneak preview of the article. Sadly, there was no invite to the mansion attached – but there was an awesome pic from the article. Click on the image to view it full sized. Read on for a preview of what Josh has to say.

LOST’S JOSH HOLLOWAY IS PLAYBOY’S FEBRUARY 20Q

– The Bad Boy of Primetime Shares His Thoughts on the Show’s Upcoming Season, Surviving a Home Invasion and Getting Caught Speeding in Hawaii –

“Having a gun held to our heads when we’re naked in our bedroom at four in the morning is never going to happen to my wife and me again,” explains Josh Holloway on surviving a life-changing home invasion in the February issue of Playboy (available on newsstands and online atwww.playboydigital.com on Friday, January 16). “I took the FBI training course. I have home protection. I accept that we live in a gun society, especially in America. Of course there’s also the statistic that owning a gun increases your chances of being shot by 300 percent.”

Though Holloway portrays hot-tempered con man James “Sawyer” Ford on the hit show Lost, now heading into its fifth season (premiering on Wednesday, January 21), the rugged heartthrob is anything but tightlipped in Playboy’s February 20Q. The following are selected quotes:

On being a victim of a home invasion robbery: “It still gets me. The guy was a crackhead who had hit 22 people in two and a half weeks. He took an 80-year-old couple and duct-taped them up. He also attempted to murder another guy. I had a nightmare about it last night.”

On Lost’s upcoming fifth season: “I don’t know sh#t. In last season’s finale some characters are trying to get back to the island. I have a feeling-this is just my projection-we’re going to get deeper into the lore of the island and where people on the island will end up. I love that Sawyer is still on the island and not back in society, where he’s such a bastard. He has evolved a bit, but I don’t know how he fits into society anymore.”

On his rise to stardom: “My first job, at the age of 11, was picking up dead chickens in a chicken house. After that I worked in a restaurant. At the age of 13 I went into construction, which is what most rural people do-either that or become a mechanic or chicken farmer. When I was 17 I got a haircut in Atlanta, and the lady said, “Do you want to do a hair show? I’ll give you a free haircut.” I said no, but when she said, “It’s you and 12 girls,” I said, “I’m in.” The guy who organized the show worked at a modeling agency, and I started doing ads for Macy’s. Then I got an offer to model in New York, so at 18 I took a Greyhound bus and off I went.”

On his sexy co-star Evangeline Lily: “Evie’s most attractive quality is her willingness to just throw herself into sh#t. She’s a pretty girl who’s unafraid to take a big handful of dirt, shove it in her hair and wipe it across her face. She’s always saying, ‘We’re not dirty enough.’”

On filming in Oahu in Hawaii: “It’s an island, very easily patrolled, and we are the only big celebrities who stay there all the time. I was going around 50 in a 35 zone, and that’s embarrassing. I should have been going faster.”

*Read Josh Holloway’s 21st question starting Friday, January 16 at playboy.com/21q.

I think it is safe to say the LOST season has officially begun…

You may or may not know that I have seen the first two episodes of Lost‘s fifth season. I don’t do early reviews, but I will say this: For hardcore fans — and if you’re of the mad mind to be reading this column, my hunch is that you qualify — the two-part premiere event will reward your toe-tapping anticipation with bunches of capture-your-imagination, theory-inspiring (and theory-narrowing) developments. The cat is out of the bag: This season is about time travel — explicitly, unapologetically, sometimes dauntingly, altogether pretty ingeniously. To further prep for the quantum leaping and fragmented fun to come, I thought I would devote my first Doc Jensen column of the season to recommending the following past episodes for review.

Hey guys, I’ve been around here for a while, but I just started contributing. So here’s the first little bit of news from me… enjoy!

On the end of ‘Lost’ in 2010

“Personally, it’s a relief. I owe this show a great amount, and I think it’s exceptionally good . . . [but] I am looking forward to the freedom that comes with not working on one project professionally. All of us knew that if the show was strung out indefinitely, it was going to ruin the story. It’s not like a doctor drama, where you have a new case each week.”
On his ‘Lost’ character

“When it’s all said and done, you’ll be able to look at the six seasons of ‘Lost’ and see a pretty amazing character arc. Jack has been evolving, and not necessarily into a good place. We started the show with him being this hero who had no concept of what that required, sort of trying to live up to the expectations… and then finding the way to redeem himself.”

On the shows conclusion

“This show started with a plane crash on an island in the South Pacific, and it’s going to have a very global and epic ending… I have some idea.”
