The site will be relaunching today with several improvements. First of all, you will no longer have to be a member of the forums to comment. This means a return to open commenting. Second, I’m addressing some of the concerns about excessive advertising and the overall readability of the site. Aside from that I have a workable gallery solution that will be much easier to use.
As for the posting: I get a lot of questions about when I’m going to start concentrating on LOST again, and the answer is right now. I’ve been bogged down in development work along with wrapping up some writing gigs elsewhere and it just didn’t make sense to create a bunch of fluff content. I know there are folks out there who like to go 24/7/365 for the show, but personally I’m not into publishing content strictly for the purpose of keeping my hit-counts up. When there is something worth talking about, we’ll talk. I believe that time has finally come.
So don’t be concerned if you see the site up and down, and be sure to weigh in on the new design.

Looks good! Needs more green, I always associate green with docarzt for some reason. I knew something was up when I came to the site and it came right up for me. All those darn flash ads used to kill me.
Professor, there will be ads… however, they won’t be of the big noisy slow loading variety. Alas, though, my ‘green’ era is behind me.
The site looks great and has amazing loading time. The site used to be super slow for me.
One suggestion: The big photo slideshow of recent stories I feel is pretty superfluous. I don’t really find stories on there that I don’t see on the the regular blog postings and the pictures in it aren’t really cropped or sized properly so all you see is the tops of trees or Abaddon’s bald pate. I’d suggest getting rid of it but that’s just me. I can live with it.

Site looks way better than before. The only thing doing it for me is the toolbar up top. Instead of “Lost News” or “Lost Spoilers”, you could get away with “News” and “Spoilers” as headings. The multiple words mess up the display for some reason and block the ads a little bit. Just my 0.02 cents.
No one’s coming here for “Two and a half men news” or “Deal or no deal spoilers” anyway.
