LOL you have it so wrong. The darkness is the natural state, the light is the temporary anomaly.

There was darkness before our sun was formed, and when it burns out, there will be darkness after.

If you throw a party in your dark cave, it won’t be long before the candles burn out, the torches burn out, the flashlights run out of batteries, and the generator runs out of power, and then what will you be left with? Oh, that’s right, the light will have died out and the cave will have returned to darkess. Darkness needs nothing to exist; simply the lack of light. The light requires energy, it must find a way. The darkness simply IS. It’s always there, everywhere, waiting for the light to die or fade. It’s inevitable.

You are not intelligent.

Adam and Eve weren’t married, as there were no priests around to marry them, and no religion around to provide to them the idea of marriage. Wrap your feeble brainwashed mind around that one.

Also, it’s a DESERT, not a DESSERT, which is a treat such as ice cream that you typically eat after dinner.

Grow up and think for yourself. Live your own life instead of believing a fictional story.

Where in the Bible does it say you can’t watch a TV show that discusses the very topics the Bible discusses? Seems pretty counter-intuitive to me! You would think an authentic religion would welcome open discourse.

Don’t you understand “irony” when you hear it? I bet Mr. James has already met a wonderful woman who loves him. In fact, wouldn’t it be ironic that while you are sitting at your computer with nothing better to do than write bitter comments about your perception of his life, that he is writing a vow of life-time commitment to the love of his life in preparation for their marriage? Unfortunately, it seems that there are more “lost” people in reality than there are on the TV show.

Go into a cave that has been dark since the beginning of time, turn on a flashlight, light some torches, drag in a generator and hook up some electric lights, light some candles, throw a party. Do you see a battle going on between darkness and light? No. Darkness is simply dispelled by light. There is no battle, just darkness disappearing into light. Did you see darkness come and yank the torches out of Richard’s hands as he stood in the magical underwater Raiders of the Lost Ark cave? No. As above, so below. It’s a Lostapaloosa tonight! I’m hoping Jack defuses Jughead. Jhead is way to dangerous to leave lying around. Jughead. What a perfect name for brain-dead destruction. Speaking of names, I love the way the name “LaFleur” works. His partnership with Juliet is where the real flowering of his character seems to have taken place. Who would have thought the aloof Sawyer would mature into James LaFleur? I’ll be watching to see what happens to his expanding heart and wisdom. I hope it doesn’t get shut down.

Jack appears to be trying to change history in all the wrong ways, but I’ll wait to see what happens tonight. Certainly, Kate does not want to land in LA or jail. And while Jack’s deepest desire seems to be cooperation and community, Kate, I suspect, cannot be trusted. Jack, misguided? Kate, self-absorbed?

Their has been a lot of talk lately about who is bad and who is good. Richard, Jacob, Locke etc al., but the one thing that is unique about Lost is it avoids painting people in the black and white terms of good and evil: in the end it is all a matter of perspective. I mean is Ben really evil? You could make an argument in that direction but you could easily argue a point that justifies most of what he has done.

So, why now would Lost start labeling characters good or evil when it has religiously avoided those labels in the past.

i agree with kitty almost completely about Richard. but my thoughts are that john is going to have jacob knocking at deaths door, to realize that maybe he doesn’t have to kill jacob if he kills the source…which is Richard. I think Richard has to die so he can finally stop advising the leaders of the island because he is the supreme evil…i can’t remember back to which episode it was, but when john first saw jacob, jacob said to him ‘help me’…which is because he wants to stop being evil’s right hand…. and the island has probably confined him to the cabin which worked in richards favor of acting like he was something mysterious and a force to be reckoned with or someone/thing to be followed… i dont think the directors are going all biblical on us (cuz if it turns out being some biblical stuff i’ve gotta stop watchin the program as it’s against my religion) but if they are…just think back to genesis with adam and eve….the serpent represented evil and slithered around on gods creation…earth. richard is slithering around on the island….advising what he wants to get things to go his way, and telling jacob what to do as well..just as the serpent influenced eve to eat the apple of ‘knowlegde’..and she thereafter advised her husband to eat it…making them see they were naked and they became ashamed.. every leader who’s listened to richard has been banned off the island and can’t come back….just as once adam and eve ate from the tree, they were banned from the garden of eden and sent into the dessert….funny how once ur banned from the island…u end up in the middle of a dessert as well…

I’m thinkin Jacob’s good but being held against his will. Most likely by Ben, but Richard could be in on this too. Killing Jacob is probably what he wanted John to do when he said, “Help me.” Jacob could very well be being used to keep Ben in power as without his ability to speak to Jacob he would be nothing…

cant tell if they were joking in the podcast, but they said Jacob was a good guy rather than a bad one. However, they said “60ft tall jacob made of flames: good guy”, so…it might not carry for regular jacob

so if Jacob is bad, that would make locke the “christian shepherd” of the good side. but to me it seems that too many references have been made connecting jacob to the island as if they are one in the same. unless jacob was fooling ben (possibly richard as well? unless he’s bad too and on jacob’s side to advise the leader to follow jacob instead of the island)…wow this is kind of starting to make sense…
