Juliet is awesome. Best character ever. Shouldn’t have been written off. Her story is not complete.

I sorta know what Arvid means-its not that I am not looking forward to the next season, its that it is SO fraught with expectations that it cannot please everyone and there will be people who will say “WTF!! Not enough!!!” or “Not how I wanted it to end!!” So I feel anxious about its end, only because I hope it will be worthy of the love and care we have all invested in the show thus far. I truly hope that they have not spent 5 seasons developing these relationships and character arcs and it does not pay off. Which is also why I am greatly relieved if Juliet is dead because she was just a diversion.

The BSG finale and final run of episodes was quite possibly the most disappointing thing that’s ever happened to me.

I’m obviously being hyperbolic but that was just…really unfortunate. Arvid, at least take solace in the fact that on Lost Bob Dylan writing “All Along the Watchtower” isn’t the most singularly important event in the history of mankind.

I agree with not liking season 5 as much as the other seasons. I put it down to ‘more mythology, less character’. While I love the mythology in the show I found that season 5 couldn’t find a good balance between the two like season 4 did. I also didn’t like the story/time hopping.

Also characters like Sun were totally forgotten about for most of the season…

That would make sense. The island would be okay, but any significant blast at the site of the Incident could alter the event itself.
I’ll miss Juliet, though.

I don’t know what I’m talking about it? For crying out loud, what is WITH some of the people on this board? I simply posted my opinion here, inviting an actual conversation. There was no reason to respond like a jerk. Some LOST fans are socially inept, attacking anyone who dares to have a different opinion than they do. That says far more about you than it does about me. Now, would anyone a bit more mature care to weigh in on this?

When they described the weapon as the trigger I think they are refering to the complex set of normal (non-nuclear) explosives need to start the chain reaction needed to initiate a nucleaar blast. Certainly enough to kill Juliet but not enough to destroy the the entire hatch site.

You know…I’ve been giving this a lot of thought, and I’ve come to the conclusion, to my surprise, that I’m not entirely looking forward to season 6. Season 5 went in such a weird direction that I didn’t really enjoy as much as previous seasons, but I kept with it, hoping the show would get back on track. However, the very idea of a reboot in season 6, to me, has a lot of potential to jump the Dharma-coded shark. So much of the show’s mysteries remain unexplained, and I worry that in their effort to do something new and unexpected in the final season, they’ll end up doing an inadequate job of wrapping it all up, leaving too much unaddressed. The BSG finale is still fresh in my memory, and I don’t want to see the same thing happen here. LOST, more than any series, deserves a satisfactory ending. I truly hope we do get it, and that my fears are unfounded.

It could be the fall that does Juliet in, and not the bomb.
Or: It was mentioned in “Jughead” that the bomb might have been powerful enough to destroy the island – so the blast might have done little more than cancel out the Incident. Juliet, being at the point where the two events occurred, probably wouldn’t do too well.

As for the other time travelers: Richard told Sun that he saw them die, but if the Incident (or lack thereof) transported them back to the present, and was accompanied by an appropriate light show, it certainly could look like they died. We’re not certain of Richard’s location during the Incident. The gunfire and general racket could have been enough to make him want to see what’s going on.

I was thinking Kate, Sawyer, Jack, et al being visited/touched by Jacob might have something to do with it. Though… Miles wasn’t touched or even visited, and haven’t there been set reports with Ken Leung? Or is Miles toast along with Jules?

I look forward to seeing how they explain it, in any event.

Whhaat? If the bomb reset everything, then how is she toast? Wouldn’t that mean that all the gang standing around above ground would be toast too? But we pretty much know they’re not, right?
