Here is the round-up of the various casting calls that have gone out. Most you’ve seen, SOME are exclusive right here. Feel free to speculate below as to who you think these characters may be.
Some seem like they could be Dharma era folks. The foremen, could indicate we are going to see a bit of Dharma’s first arrival on “The Island”. Martha, by description could be the mother of the crying baby in the Chang video.
Personally, I think this all lends to the theory that Faraday is back in time. Could “Desmond Hume is my constant” come into play soon?
LOST, Episode 501 (Role Of Foreman)
[FOREMAN] 40s to 50s, any ethnicity. A blue-collar construction worker. He’s worked hard to get where he is and provide for his family. He cares deeply for his crew, hates it when management is condescending and arrogant but ultimately knows his place in the pecking order. CO-STAR.
LOST, Episode 501 (Role of Martha)
[MARTHA] 35 to 40, Asian, attractive. A smart, capable scientist with a
strong personality who has taken a break to raise her baby but plans to
work again. Completely believes in the work she is doing but sometimes
questions the decisions of those in charge…CO-STAR, RECURRING
LOST, Episode 501 (Role of Dan)
[DAN] 40s, any ethnicity. A high-priced attorney, someone really sharp
who can be friendly. However, there’s a real menace lurking below the
surface. RECURRING GUEST STAR
LOST, Episodes 502 and 503
[NIGEL] British, in his late teens and MUST BE 18 TO PLAY YOUNGER,
despite being rough around the edges, mature well beyond his age and
extremely smart. Must have English accent…NICE CO-STAR. WILL APPEAR IN
EPISODES 502 AND 503.
[SOPHIE] British and in her late teens, MUST BE 18 TO PLAY YOUNGER is a
seemingly innocent, prim and proper aristocrat but in actuality she
hides a toughness and ingenuity underneath. Must have English
accent…NICE CO-STAR. WILL APPEAR IN EPISODE 503.
LOST, Season 5
[CAESAR] 35-45. He is dangerous, physical and extremely intelligent with
a dark past. He is a mysterious man whose intentions are unclear. He can
charm us or kill us…Recurring guest star with possible series option
for season 6.
[ILANNA] 25-35. She is a European woman of great intelligence, powerful
and charming yet incredibly dangerous, too. She is alluring and very
used to getting her own way. Her past is deeply mysterious and dark…

prediction: the “foreman” character is actually the first mate of the BLACK ROCK
joeblow, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Maybe the use of the word “crew” is a red herring, but that’s exactly what I thought when I read that Foreman description
i love how half of them have “dark” pasts. no kidding. from the looks of it, season 5′s gonna be all across the lost timeline. ill roll with the black rock idea. also, would love to see the faraday/constant thing come back into play (one of my favs last season). couldnt help but notice, was watching flight of the navigator the other day, a fave when i was younger, the nasa scientists name was faraday. max (the ship) does all kinds of time traveling. lol.

Now why would they say that, I wonder. They’ve had child actors on Lost before…
Perhaps it’s because they’ll be appearing at multiple ages in the same season! They’ll be teens, and then they’ll be shown again a few years later. Only thing that makes sense to me. Either that or they have sex and ABC doesn’t like kids filming sex.
Nigel & Sophie – sound like they are potentially Charlotte’s parents.
And the Foreman – interesting. Maybe I’ll get some answers to one of the unsolved mysteries of the DI to me i.e. The complexity, sheer no. of manpower, the large amount of resources needed to build all that Dharma infrastructure. How was all the material shipped to island and done if the island is so hard to get to? How did they keep SO MANY people quiet about it all?

That was the background that Ben gave us in “confirmed dead”. Which leads me to believe that these young brits are not meant to be Charlotte’s parents…but then again, the info could all be false, considering that it came outta Ben’s mouth, and also considering that Charlotte now says she was born on the island….
Who knows, I just thought I’d point it out.
Charlotte could have been conceived on the island but then born in England. Or born on the island but for island secrecy she is officially listed as being born in Essex.
if we’re going to see Dharma in the 1970′s then these teenagers sound the right age to be Charlotte’s parents.
you know dang well FOREMAN will be black. They just put “any ethnicity” so now one *cough*HAROLD, would get offended. It’s ok to put Asian , Latino, White, but not Black. Anyway…just to clear that up. I think he will be black due to his name and his profile, hard worker, caring, hates management condescending. Possibly family of Walt?
AND I STILL BELIEVE I WILL BE RIGHT ABOUT THE SEASON PREMIERE! It will start of on the island, maybe off, and we will think we are in present time or future time but in actuality it will be Dharma Initiative era. Jack Shepard as the head surgeon!
CEASAR will be the new “Keamy” of season 5.
18 to play younger just means they want someone around that age but they don’t want to deal with the limitations of child labor laws. With little kids, there’s no alternative, but with a character who is 15 or 16, you could get by with someone that age or someone older, so might as well get someone older.
The brits do sound like they could be relatives of Charlotte (if parents, it’s possible they are using bogus names for the sake of casting), otherwise maybe relatives of the widmores or Desmond.
And Martha – possible connection to Marvin Candle or Miles (or both). From the comic-con video, now we know Candle has a kid and presumably a wife.
