Visit TVOvermind.comMy Friends at visitorsite.net got a hold of some early ‘official’ press materials for the upcoming Sci-Fi series ‘V’, the series a certain LOST actress is supposedly ‘Guest Starring’ in. Hmmmm? Well, this information may clarify just how small, or big, that particular actresses role really is. Read on for the intel.
ABC has issued a press release with a synopsis on what we should expect to see, plot-wise, with V. This is a spoiler-filled introduction but it may reveal a bit more of what the project is all about. More spoilers, of course, can be found on our V spoilers page.
This release may also clear up the “is Elizabeth Mitchell just a guest star” debate.

The main character..Erica Evans is played by Elizabeth Mitchell. That seems to indicate that she’s going to be leaving Lost.

Oh PLEASE let this herald the death of Juliet….or at least send her packing off the island on the sub. She is just awful, as is Mitchell’s monotone acting, and watching this lack of chemistry with her and James is PAINFUL and unworthy of Lost! This is the single time I think the boys have made a bad choice so I hope V rescues us from any more Juliet and her vapid whining.

Why would you say that? Why would you assume he is a Skater? Are you a sulieter for liking Juliet? Get off it. Newsflash-not everyone thinks she is great. I have not liked her after season 3, and if one smirk means great acting to you, then that’s your thing. IMO, Evangeline Lilly’s eyebrows act beter than EM. Indeed, we all have different opinions.
I assumed that because he/she said “watching this lack of chemistry with her and James is PAINFUL”. And because all skaters want Juliet death and criticize Suliet (and Juliet).
Anyway, I said MAYBE. I was joking.
Honestly, I considered exaggerated his/her words about Juliet and EM.
Having different opinions doesn’t mean that I can’t comment them.

Aw, there’s plenty of Skaters out there who still love Juliet. She’s my second favorite character, in fact. I just think she and Sawyer make a boring couple. ;p

Hmm…ever think that, I don’t know, maybe they have a different opinion of the character than you? Not everyone has to love the characters you love.
I don’t subscribe to any “ship” (though I admit the chemistry between Juliet and Sawyer comes off very forced) but I’m excited at the prospects of her getting killed off. Congrats to the actress for getting a new show, but her character can’t get off my screen fast enough.

I agree, Juliet’s character is just bland….
I think she will die during “the incident”. I can’t wait to find out what transpires between young Ben and Sawyer/Kate/Jack that makes him want to later abduct them and torture Sawyer.
I can’t believe they’re gonna kill Juliet off Lost. She’s the best female character. This is so bad.

It’s good for Elizabeth. She really deseves to have a leading role. She’s absolutely amazing, but I love Juliet and I don’t want to lose her.
She is great… But sometimes great people must die in order for everything to happen.
This doesn’t mean they are going to kill off Juliet. I could be wrong here but isn’t it staring off as a movie, mini-series, like BSG. Then if the ratings are good they will serialize it. If that is the case she would have plenty of time to do the movie and by the time the tvshow started she would be done with Lost.
That is what I am hoping at least.
The summary I was reading said ’series’, not miniseries. At any rate, since Mitchell has a major role in it there’s no way she’s going to be able to be in Lost, especially since Lost is done in Hawaii and V is done on the mainland.
I could see Juliet finally going home to be with her sister and her niece.

Breaking news: there are only 22 or so episodes left of Lost. Ever. A LOT of characters are going to die and/or leave the show. They’re not going to keep them all until the last second.
V will suck, badly, get cancelled by the 4th episode, leaving Beth available for Lost if she ain’t dead by then (like Ben should have been).
Hmmm, I’ve always thought since “Namaste” when Amy asks Julliette – “When are you having a baby? – and Juliette reply’s “I don’t know. Timing’s gotta be right.” that this may have been a prophetic clue that Juliette will be the Island’s first victim of death during childbirth. Would be hugely ironic, and I think will have some link to the “Incident” – just a feeling….. whatayathink?

Yes, it was just before Amy told Juliet that her baby was named Ethan.
I am only ok with EM leaving lost on the basis that she wears the tight leather low low cut uniforms the lizard peeps wore back in the 80’s.
ABC runs both shows…They’ve already wrapped S5 on Lost, which means they’ll be shooting a few eps for “V” soon (since the pilot has been picked up)…I see no reason why Elizabeth can’t pull double duty for Lost’s FINAL season. Remember, they won’t be back to shoot S6 until August. By then they should already have the initial order for “V” shot. By the time they order more eps for “V” she’d be half way through shooting S6 of Lost. I don’t know all the details, but since she’s working for the same network and one series is ending just as the other is beginning, I see no reason why she can’t pull a double.
And when I read the pilot I immediately knew Elizabeth would be playing Erica. There was no other role (save Anna) that fit her.
Is it the same production company?
The same production company would matter much more than the same network — if she were to do double duty.
