Rousseau?!?! flashback to when she meets ben?? that would be amazing
Next week looks to be pretty awesome, I love how they’re tying up all these loose ends from just before they left for the Island again

Once more, they outperform their own fantastic story-telling.
Classic flashbacks, time travel, future past… ingeniously written Storylines. It’s so good to see Lost fitting it’s highest standards again. How could any intelligent viewer not love this show?
Undoubtedly, the coming episode is gonna be AMAZING.
I don’t think that was ever really in doubt. After 316 it seemed pretty obvious that they would go back and fill in the blanks. The wholes were too big to just forget about. I didn’t really like Sayid’s flashback. I thought it was exceptionally redundant.
I think the whole episode (He’s Our You/5.10) was excepitionally redundant. I’m glad we can leave that behind us.

I’m digging the young Ben/older Ben entering the temple in back to back episodes parallel. Next week should be a return to the awesomeness of the beginning of the season.

I like that everybody’s back together, but I really miss Daniel and Desmond!
And it looks like we’re going to get some wicked interior shots of The Temple.

In the preview he says he can’t control Smokey. He seems to be able to summon it, but that’s it.

Looks like we’re going to get a run down of all the bad things Ben has done…..warranting a judgement from Smokey. Broke the rules? I bet he’s referring to killing Penny. Just a hunch since Widmore broke the rules, sort of, but having Alex killed….except that Widmore didn’t killer her personally, therefore not really breaking the rules. But Ben might have really broke the rules if he killed Penny personally. …but then again, what the heck are these rules anyway??
I think that he broke the rules by returning to the island. When he turned the wheel he said that he could never come back.
I don’t believe that Penny’s dead. I think that Ben intended to kill Penny, but things obviously didn’t work out. She’s been very important to the plot of the show, to have her die in her murderer’s flashback would be a disservice.
Also, her, Desmond, and little Charlie need to live happily ever after.
But if she is dead then it will give scope for Desmond returning to the island. Dont think she is tho. Altho how else is Desmond gonna come back. Wot spicy reason can they cook up with these gourmet storylines. Cant wait till next weeks ep. Gonna have to freeze myself cartman stylee!
If Desmond believes that Ben is after Penny, that may be enough reason for him to seek Ben out and hit first.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Desmond’s return to the island isn’t intentional. He does conveniently live on a boat.
The rules: Just don’t make smokey angry… you wouldn’t like him when he’s mad.
I think Ben killed Penny, just like widmore killed alex, He broke the rules and has come back to be judged. Isn’t it the only time we’ve heared of rules being broken?
But it is rules not rule. Implying more than one. Penny is not dead. I have a feeling we will find out what a few of the rules are this episode. I think it will be that he not only came back to the Island but that he moved the wheel in the first place. Christian specifically said Locke was the one to move the Island.
Widmore ‘changed’ the rules by killing Alex, not breaking them. So I think Ben is talking about returning to the island, not about killing Penny.

When Alex was killed, Ben said he broke (or maybe changed) the rules.
Faraday says there are rules associated with time travel.
Pierre Chang says the same.
I’ve always thought Ben was shocked by Alex’s death because he believed Alex was not supposed to die in this timeline, per “the rules.”

Don’t think Desmond needs a “reason” to come back to the island. They live on a boat….the island can bring him back at will.
Did y’all notice that the door to the Temple (?) is in Ben’s (?) closet…

What about the glimpse of the submarine? It showed two men leading a third man to the sub. The middle guy looked like he was being led by force. Widmore’s exile perhaps? The shot of young Rousseau accompanied by Ben’s “be grateful you’re still alive” could be when he stole baby Alex.
I agree, next week’s episode looks GREAT. Can’t wait.

Ben Bad Bad Ben. Don’t you guys know this yet!!! The boy was a bad apple (shaped that way by his bad apple father is debatable). Judged my ass!
Prediction:
Ben is luring John to ol’ Smokey to kill him yet again!
Penny is dead. Des comes back to the Island for revenge and will kill Ben.

I agree that the shot of the submarine shows Widmore being led to the submarine and to exile from the island. Can’t wait ’til next week.
