I did watch the true blood finale this year, although I have to say as someone who’s read the books the series is really venturing away from a lot of the story line. Don’t know if I’ll be tuning in next year.

Gives credence that season 6 will address “the voices” heard at various times early on in the series – or perhaps the crash will be shown from a different view or parallel universe … who knows.
