I suspect that new angle is that the audience sees Candle filming it, rather than seeing the end product. This would tie in with Daniel possibly filming the Pierre Chang video. I didn’t want to read stuff like this, but my love of puzzles exceeds my distaste for spoilers. You win, Doc…
Also, kudos to the writers for having the Arrow be (potentially) relevant to the overall plot. It popped up again in season 3 on Horace’s DHARMA jumpsuit, but I didn’t think it would get an explicit mention on the show.
