Congrats to LOST for snaring many well deserved Emmy nominations!  The fact that “The End” received numerous noteworthy noms (directing, writing, music, and guest star for Elizabeth Mitchell to name a few) will surely reactivate the mixed emotions amongst the fans.  What do you think?  Were there other episodes more deserving of a nom, or – in the style of Mad Men – multiple noms in the same category?  Personally, I’m astonished that Eddy and Adam weren’t nominated for Dr. Linus.  On an entirely unrelated note, can I just say… no Lithgow?  WTF?! Lithgow FTW!

89 Responses to “LOST Snares 13 Emmy Nominations!”

  1. Paul says:

Lithgow was nominated in the Best Guest Actor category, which was the category he was submitted for!

  2. Mike says:

was mitchell’s guest appearance really emmy worthy?

  3. Matt says:

It may not have been the most stellar guest appearance, but Elizabeth Mitchell is brilliant, and I’m so happy for her to be nominated for SOMEthing. Although I would have been much happier to have seen her nominated for best supporting actress back in season 3, which was her at her best. A nomination for V would have been nice, but LOST guest appearance will have to do.

  4. RichPundit says:

No doubt LOST was supported with great talent particularly music, actresses/actors, individual script writers (NOT the PTB scammers), set design/construction, direction and much more.

However, honoring the LOST PTBs continues the legal corruption of the intentional, planned, 6 year LOST scam … despicable Idiots!!!

    • Lego says:

Totally agree. Nominating these two for Darlton shouldn’t have even been nominated for best writing. The basic strategy for writing lost seems to have been: Whenever the action slows down throw some sort of “chekhovs gun” to keep people intrigued, then fail to resolve almost all of these situations in any meaningful way.

These guys have been stringing us along for 6 seasons and laughing all the way to the bank.

    • bplenc says:

you are an idiot. these nominations prove you are all idiots for condemning the PTB and “The End”.

same for FB – suck it bitch.

      • RichPundit says:

ANnnnnnnd, the Emmy’s speak … well-deserved kudos to Ben who we all always agreed was exceptionally talented and spectacular!

However, partcularly wrt Darlton, unsurprisingly and appropriately LOST lost, eh? Of course as we all now know, while Ben always had a plan, Darlton never did … save their multi-year, despicable, greedy personal enrichment plan.

    • Silas says:

Cry more. Then realize there are better things to do than complain about how LOST stole six of your middle age years.

    • bplenc says:

      get over yourselves !

you are the idiot for having watched for 6 years !

      MORONSSSSSSSSSS!

      • RichPundit says:

No doubt ur correct bplenc, I’m both an Idiot and Moron for believing the LOST PTBs for six looong years, particularly Darlton! Promise it won’t happen again …

        • bplenc says:

ok so we agree: you were both an idiot and a moron for thinking that after 6 years the PTB of a tv show owed you something – glad we can agree on this – I don’t know you well enough to promise you won’t make the same mistake again…

no one to “blame” but yourself

now that the dust has settled, i feel the same way I do after thanksgiving dinner – belt unbuckled, ready for a nap – in all, wholly satisfied: with the entire series and for my 6 year relationship and commitment to it. Come Emmy night, I will be cheering for my favourite show of all time.

and for the love of all that is good, for those of you that hated the end, hate the PTB bc of it, disregard the entire series now, why continue to waste your time on these message boards? you will not convince those that loved it to change teams. you are continuing to waste your time…so maybe Rich, you ARE continuing to make that same mistake by coming here at all.

          • RichPundit says:

Well bplenc, am glad that you enjoyed ur “turkey” dinner even after ur Chefs repeatedly promised it was really once a live turkey only to discover it was really Soylent Green after ravishing it … keep loving ur Chefs, eh?

Agree, I’m both an Idiot and a Moron!

          • bplenc says:

thank you for being glad for me – it feels pretty good actually…

…come Emmy night, I bet I will feel even better! and you, unfortunately, only worse :(

        • icy_one says:

You didn’t believe anything they said, actually. You believed what you thought they said.

  5. This final season was awful.

Out of all the seasons this is the ONE that shouldn’t be recognized as Emmy worthly.

  6. JS says:

I hope they never find out who wins or loses, because it’s all about the characters.

    https://twitter.com/jasonschreier/status/18046008668

  7. joe_bones says:

even if you think the emmys are BS, the nominations should prove that the last season of lost wasnt the worst event in the history of tv, as the haters would have you believe. abc submitted the end for emmy consideration and came back with a mess of noms. that means a bunch of people liked it.

    • Daniel says:

The only people who hated the finale were the ones who were not intelligent enough to comprehend it. Your comment was the best on here Joe_Bones…….still think Lithgow should win the award……but it’s about time someone made an actual good and classy comment….thanks

      • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

An idiot wrote: “The only people who hated the finale were the ones who were not intelligent enough to comprehend it.” Screw you, dickhead.

        • bplenc says:

someone upset about the Emmy noms Kate’s Perfect Butt? seems like that to us!

          • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

Not in the slightest. I’m happy for those involved–it’s well-deserved. I simply get annoyed when idiots decide to insult EVERY person who didn’t like the finale. Only a complete and utter moron would make such a generalization, and I called him on it.

  8. The Mantis says:

True Dat. I’m sure FishBisquit is going crazy right now. Ha.

  9. Beena says:

I’m excited for all the nominations LOST has gotten. And I’m also excited to see a new post on this site after while has passed without one!

  10. RichPundit says:

WOW, am very excited to enjoy watching G4 AOTS hosts Kevin, Olivia, Alison et al covering Comic Con 2010!

Of course Darlton won’t show this year or ever again, and there’ll be no LOST celebration or even positive mention … and we all know why. For 6 years, Darlton repeatedly hyped LOST mysteries/mythology with promised satisfying answers and didn’t even bother to try to deliver them, but chose instead to simply hide away and enjoy their LOST booty.

How do like them apples, eh?

    • bplenc says:

we love them apples actually! – with 13 nominations for its final season, LOST has secured its legacy – but no doubt will not shut up the haters, bc its obvious, who the heck can?

    • bplenc says:

also, they would only show to promote the upcoming season of Lost, so why come now? to hear you bitches complain to them about nothing? pfft.

      • RichPundit says:

AHhhh so u agree, LOST has nothing to celebrate @Comic Con 2010 after their planned scam, nor is there any more LOST booty for the PTBs to shamelessly grab, then hide!

Well, then again, maybe they can collect all the rotten fruits & vegetbles that are thrown at them and somehow continue to greedily extract some booty … lol

    • dd says:

RichPundit: People like you remind me of how stupid the discourse surrounding LOST has become.

      • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

…said the person on this forum who has consistently been the least able to engage in intelligent discourse.

        • dd says:

or you mean the most able. Give evidence of the contrary or go blow your horn elsewhere.

          • Lego says:

“or you mean the most able”…genius comeback

          • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

Okay, here’s evidence: that response, which was idiotic and pointless.

          • dd says:

Really girls, if you have any credible arguments against anything I’ve said, I invite you to raise them.

All I see right now are a bunch of FB whiners who are still fumbling with their self-loathing for not being able to understand a television show.

When I don’t understand something, I don’t make a big stink about it. I either try to learn something so that the confusion is clarified or I just admit that I don’t get it and move on. I don’t see any use in the dumb aggression in which some of you seem to find a little too comfortable for wallowing.

          • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

            dd: You are useless.

          • dd says:

Like I said, provide an honest argument or just give it a rest.

      • Marc says:

people like kates perfect butt and rich pundit really have to ask themselves.. why do you keep coming back here?? if you hate it so much let it go so those of who love lost and aren’t insanely irrational (see pundits post above this one) to be personally insulted and actually have the gal to think that the show was made just for them.. the people in lost had an amazin life.. they died.. we got a glimpse into their heaven.. for all those horribly pessimistic people (i am not religious at all) who cant stomach that.. i feel bad for you.. the fact that there are actually people out that are infuriated that the characters you grew to know and love got into heaven (which like or not is the ultimate blind hope of much of human life) is disgusting..

        • Kate's Perfect Butt says:

That was a very dumb question, Marc. Because we didn’t like ONE episode out of a series we otherwise loved, we should stop visiting sites about that series? Seriously? What kind of boneheaded logic is that? And when did I ever say the show was made just for me? Way to put words in my mouth, idiot.

  11. RichPundit says:

WOW, am very excited to enjoy watching highly talented and charismatic/fun G4 AOTS hosts Kevin, Olivia, Alison et al covering Comic Con 2010!

Of course Darlton won’t show this year or ever again, and of course there’ll be no LOST celebration or even positive mention … and we all know why. For 6 years, Darlton repeatedly hyped LOST mysteries/mythology with promised satisfying answers and didn’t even bother to try to deliver them, then chose instead to shamlessly hide away and enjoy their LOST booty.

How do like dem apples, eh? [re: Matt Damon]

  12. spacebender says:

At Jopinionated’s blog (jopinionated.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html) there’s a list of Emmy-worthy scenes posted by viewers that gave me chills and triggered a flow of tears. And that was just Season 6 alone!

  13. johr77 says:

best LAME ending to a wonderful show.

    guaranteed to win.

  14. Marc says:

    TOQ FTW!

BTW, Lithgow was badass in Dexter!

  15. dd says:

So we’ve had only two posts on this site in the past 25 days, neither of which has been all that interesting. R.I.P., DocArzt’s Lost Blog. We’ll miss you.

  16. elginmiller says:

So, I have some complaints about how a few things played out, but overall I was pretty satisfied. What is the motivation for all the bitterness? What answers do you all feel you needed to be satisfied? I’m amazed that self-proclaimed Lost fans would be SO disappointed by an ending that, while not tying up a few unresolved mystery strands, seemed pretty consistent with the rest of the show.

    • dd says:

A “few” unresolved mysteries? There were TONS of unresolved mysteries.

      • RichPundit says:

AND again, the fundamental low integrity betrayal by the LOST PTBs, particularly Darlton, was their 6 years of repeatedly & intensely hyping of LOST mysteries/mythology with promised “satisfying answers”. They instead chose to shamelessly hide and enjoy their piles of LOST booty without even trying to deliver.

As my LOST “schadenfreude” above scream: I am both a Moron and an Idiot for believing them for 6 looong years … never again!

      • dd says:

        I didn’t post that.

Everyone knows how I feel about “mysteries.” They couldn’t be solved because of the very limited narrative perspective. To solve them would betray that perspective.

        Stop posing, fake DD.

RichPundit is an idiot. You should also stop posting.

        • RichPundit says:

Some individuals think Vanilla is the only true possible flavour of ice cream, so they are outraged to see other individuals enjoying ice cream flavours other than Vanilla at an ice cream shop. Also, they even scream nasty, personal attacks at those individuals enjoying non-Vanilla flavours, even claiming that they clearly are not intelligent and need education. AND, how dare the ice cream shop even offer flavours other than Vanilla.

The truth is that DocArtz’s and almost all other LOST sites offer tasty Vanilla and much more, eh?

        • bplenc says:

i just knew that wasn’t you dd.

people on this site are just lame, cough Rich, cough.

  17. RichPundit says:

Hey my “Buddy” DocArzt, thought you posted here a while back that you have nearly completed ur final recap of now lost, LOST mystery adventure … seemingly with a sharply positive spin. Will we see it posted here soon?

Please let us know – rich

[btw, if you prefer, I’ll refrain from commenting on it … lol!]

  18. rodmanrc says:

    First of all…

Wow, this website sure went to hell in a handbasket in a hurry, didn’t it? With all the different pissing contests going on around here, no wonder all the intelligent posters have found work elsewhere. So sad must be the existence of those who dwell here, only to surface and rake other posters over the coals for no reason whatsoever, only to crawl back under the rocks from whence thee came. Perhaps your time could be better spent railing against the masses in the form of an anger management courses? Or, even better, a padded cell? Just sayin’.

As for Lost…congratulations on the 13 Emmy nominations! I have always loved the show, I will always love the show, and I even — GASP! — loved the series finale! There, I said it! Quick, hide the wives and children! Grab all the bottled water and duct tape you can find! For there be an embittered War of the Words coming now that somebody has said something POSITIVE about Lost.

“And here comes the Idiot Stampede to give me…just…just…just what for!”

    • bplenc says:

      hallelujah!

start visiting other Lost sites – no not JUST DarkUfo, while its GREAT – but there are others that provide lots of Lost content and please disregard this shell of a site.

  19. RichPundit says:

” … all the intelligent posters have found work elsewhere.” – RodmanRC

Happy to see an “intelligent poster” here again!

  20. milo says:

It’s sad what the comment threads on this site have turned into, I remember when there were some actual intelligent discussions instead of just pissing contests over whether it sucked or not (did the comment sections used to be moderated?). I’ll miss the show, but good riddance to the “fan” blathering.

    • RichPundit says:

Seems everyone is frustrated with the ending state of LOST, albeit with radically different povs … including DocArtz.

Do think that Darlton et al are enjoying their “earned” LOST booty independent of how one defines “earned”. As u know, I’m closer to Bernie Madoff defined “earned”, but hey, even Bernie’s victims got a quickly and quietly passed special 2009 tax advantage independent of any previous years of fraudulent gains, eh?

Guess I still need more LOST therapy … six intense years are difficult to reconcile honestly. lol

      • bplenc says:

6 years? or is it really 120 hours, less than one week?
        put the shovel away Rich.

      • dd says:

I’m not frustrated with the ending. It was great. The people struggling with frustration are those who never really got it in the first place and then suddenly felt the rug pulled from beneath them when they realized the nature of the show (which, of course, was already old news to viewers who grasped the narrative technique around seasons two and three).

        • RichPundit says:

Damn DD, I very much envy ur incredible intellectual and creative insight capability … S2/S3, eh?

If I was gifted with such insight capability, I would have quickly lost LOST during around S2/S3, and not be posting this while strongly feeling outraged & betrayed by Darlton et al’s unseemly behaviours.

  21. spacebender says:

Lithgrow would have made a memorably creepy character on Lost. I still remember his brief but epic part in “All That Jazz.”

  22. RichPundit says:

ANnnnnnnd, the Emmy’s speak … well-deserved kudos to Ben who we all always agreed was exceptionally talented and spectacular!

However, partcularly wrt Darlton, unsurprisingly and appropriately LOST lost, eh?

  23. RichPundit says:

Of course as we all now know, while Ben always had a plan, Darlton never did … save their multi-year, despicable, greedy personal enrichment plan.

  24. I can’t belive how much of an asshole this particular person can be.
