After seeing Mark Pellegrino’s portrayal of Jacob in the season 5 finale of Lost its easy to be mesmerized with his character. The character was mentioned and talked about, with a great deal of mystery surrounding him for two season before he ever appeared on the show. But season 5 ended with an apparant death of Jacob, and it seems that Mark Pellegrino may have moved on as well, landing a recurring role in Supernatural next season. So the question remains, will we get to see Jacob next season? I say absolutely, but what do you think?
As for his role on Supernatural, you can read all about it at our sister site, TVOvermind.

I really hope he returns. They cant just reveal him and kill him in the same episode. They need to kinda explain his story through a flashback or something to that extent
I bet he is a goner, which is also going to be how the story unwinds itself and resets. With Jacob an imortal person on a magic island that can shift time at will dead all of the things he did back in times past will begin to unwind also. This will be what season 6 will be about
I’m pretty sure he’ll be back. Who knows where Season 6 is going to pick up.
Wow…I completely disagree with grasspike–I don’t think Season 6 will be about that concept at all.
I agree with your disagreement. It doesn’t make sense, temporally – if someone dies there’s no reason for what they have done in the past to undo itself. Especially that, given the conversation between Jacob and Anti-Jacob, it could very well mean that 815 would never have crashed on the island.
My gut tells me we won’t see him until the very end.
He’ll be back. At least in Charlies flashback. And Claires, of course
I believe that he’ll be back, just maybe not as often as I’d like. Jacob will be around, at any rate, even if he isn’t in the same body.
I’ve been watching the first season of Dexter and when he pops up – it was weird. Since I saw his episode of Lost first – I’m thinking, “Man, that Jacob is an ass.”
My theory is that Jacob will take over Lockes dead body and take on Anti-Jacob in Lockes new body. I think he already had it planned out and was a couple of steps ahead of Anti-Jacob. Just a wild guess on my part, I’m probably wrong. It sure would be cool to see 2 Lockes fighting it out and neither one of them actually being Locke though.
Even though I agree that you’re probably wrong, this is one of the coolest ideas I’ve ever heard.
jack is the new jacob
As Supernatural will air in Fall ’09 and Lost in Spring ’10, there will be no problems imo. I think Supernatural shooting will be over when Losts shooting starts.
Cant wait for both shows!
I am sure we will see him, but I am not sure in which body !!!
I like to watch Supernatural and also Lost, becous the sexy cast lol. BTW found this site on google, searched for some TV Show Plot.
I think that Jacob knew that he was going to be killed. & he prevented it by sending Jack and all of them back to the 70′s. Jack decides to reverse the plane crash, and if the plane crash never happened, Anti-Jacob doesn’t get a vessel. Either that, or they caused the incident and Jack will wake up in the Jungle like in the first season, except this time he and the others from the 70′s are able to retain what had already happened. & if my theory is correct, this would also prevent Anti-Jacob from finding his “Loop hole”, because if Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Etc all know each other from the beginning that would change everything. I think that Lost is just an intricate / intense version of Groundhog Day, the same concept. If everyone is able to retain memories and information from their past lives, that would explain Jacob (Jacob brings blackrock to the island, which in turn causes a string of events) Anti-Jacob says “it always ends the same” and Jacob says “it only ends once, anything before that is just progress”. What I got out of these 2 statements was that Jacob is trying to find the perfect ending, whereas Anti-Jacob is tired of trying to find a perfect ending. Anti-Jacob finds his loophole and kills jacob, but I think that no matter what they do, they are always going to wind up on that beach. They can both retain their memories, and that is why they know what is going to happen before it does. I don’t think that Anti-Jacob is bad, I just think they have 2 different views. The very same as John Locke and Jack. The show is based on Fate vs Freewill. Locke = Fate, Jack = free will… Anti Jacob = Fate, Jacob = Free will.
