Want TV News? Visit TVOvermind.comAs Lost’s Season 5 heads into its final three weeks, TVGuide.com’s Getting Lost video series counts down the season-to-date’s most resonant episode-ending “thump” moments, as voted on by readers.
Among the Top 5 is, of course, the capper to “He’s Our You,” in which Sayid guns down a young Ben. Michael Emerson emailed us the morning after that jaw-dropper aired, saying, “When Sayid shot Young Ben, I looked at my wife, Carrie [Preston] — who was in a state of shock — and said, ‘Yikes. That’s more than a flesh-wound.’

That Daniel.F theory makes too much sense :-/.
should be playing here as well… same source…
The theory about Dan’s whereabouts doesn’t make any sense. Eloise said that the Lamp Post is how DHARMA found the island in the first place. It wouldn’t make sense for Dan to construct it after DHARMA is already on the island.
Unless he went to a time before DHARMA got there. I haven’t read this theory. Could someone give me a link or summation???
Yeah I agree, Faraday wasn’t working on the Lamp post, that’s ridiculous. The one thing he wants is for Charlotte never to come to the Island when she is an adult. So, what, he is going to spend his time in 77 to find a way for people to get to the Island? Very, very unlikely!
Ah, yes. Silly me. All I was thinking of was Eloise’s line about ‘the guy’ who built etc, failed to remember it was how they originally found the island.
.
Thank you
doc: All, must be my problem with SS, not seeing the video embedded.
No “welcome back to the land of the living?” Best one so far to me…
How did Hurley know? I’d assume the lawyer told him? Or is that WAY too easy… most likely “Charlie” told him.
I agree — that was a great cliffhanger.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if one of Widmore’s people — or even Widmore himself — track Hurley down to get him on the plane? We know he has the resources to find Hurley. This would make for an interesting conflict between Ben and Hurley, since Hurley absolutely hates Ben.
Just a thought.
“welcome back to the land of the living” was actually #2 on the list. He only brought up Locke getting killed by Ben, and not how the episode really ended, or “thumped”.
Matt Mitovich is a dweeb.
‘Matt Mitovich is a dweeb.’
Here here!
Someone should “thump” Matt Mittovich.
Hey.. that’s actually a great question. How DID Hurley know?
Also… I still think “bloop” should be there somehow. Not a THUMP moment, but pretty darn awesome.
Maybe Hurley wrote a letter to his parents (explaining where he was / what happened) & sent it off on one of the subs…Many years later he finds the letter…Thus how he finds out about the flight is – he told himself!!!
I think that Hurley’s “bloop” was the best moment this season.
“The island disappeared, we all saw it, BLOOP!”
I would of thought seeing the statue would have made the list…
what’s the point of a list like this only covering this season? it really limits the choices. why not a list of the best ‘thump’ moments (that sounds stupid, by-the-way) of the entire show? i, for one, was not surprised by all of these. i figured sayid was gonna kill little ben based on what he said while locked up, and ben killing locke has become almost commonplace.
But that wasn’t a thump.
I realize this can be actually boring and you are skipping for the subsequent comment, but I just desired to throw you a massive thanks, you cleared up some points for me!
