not much there, but who else thinks the guy that is set to be “jacob” is just a red harring? I dont think they would set this man up for umpteen seasons and then just drop this random actor into the mix and say thats him, thats jacob isnt he special!
    any thoughts?

    • Hipster Doofus says:

I don’t know. They just basically dropped a random actor in to play the leader of the others. They add new actors all the time. I prefer a random actor to be jacob than any of the Losties. For all the time, its been about the Losties discovering things, and we always think theres somebody with ultimate knowledge like Hawking or Widmore, but it turns out what they know is because of the losties time traveling. I feel like it would be silly if it turns out one of the losties is Jacob. I don’t think its a red herring.

I want a random actor to be Jacob. Lost is becoming slightly incestuous with the this person is the son of or daughter of reveals.

Speaking of spoilers, I was hoping the Doc would write something about the lack of a lostfan108 cameo this year. I feel much safer browsing through spoiler pages, as I know I won’t be accidentally reading a full synopsis of the finale.

    • milo says:

Interesting question. Did they actually manage to keep the finale under wraps this year? I thought the first few episodes were leaked, but I haven’t heard many big spoilers since.

It would sure be nice if we could end a season without having not just the big surprises (locke in the coffin!!) but entire synopses posted, after two years of that crap.

  3. JJStrange says:

I wonder if the cliffhanger will have us watching “everyone die” as Richard Alpert said to Sun.

    • august says:

it really depends on whether they die in the incident or the purge. or some third or fourth sneaky option that we dont know about.

  4. kevin says:

The only good thing about the season wrapping up is I won’t have to see this nerd for another 9 months.

  5. neoloki says:

nerd doesn’t really mean anything anymore does it? And when their is around 6 million people in the states alone that are into a show can that really make you a nerd for liking it also?

  6. themachine says:

ummmm…yes i am addicted to LOST and i have been LOST free for 2 minutes…Anyone like what he said bout tptb comments about jack and we wont think the same after the finale??? im excited…

    • triangulatedsignal says:

yea i liked that one because to be honest i feel like jack’s character has been pushed aside slightly this season, it’s time he had some good storyline again

  7. stweedle says:

Getting sick of the eye liner thing, someone send this guy some new material.

  8. Lost Season says:

Critically acclaimed and a popular success, Lost garnered an average of 16 million viewers per episode on ABC during its first year. It has won numerous industry awards including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005, Best American Import at the British Academy Television Awards in 2005, the Golden Globe for Best Drama in 2006 and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series.
