So far this season our heads have been spinning trying to keep up with what year they are in, why they are all in different times and will they all reunite? Now the executive producers have come forward and announced that we can all take a deep breath, relax and get comfortable where we are for the time being.
Cuse said “We’re kind of done with the rapid skipping through time for a while.”
Apparently from next week we will be back to a more familiar episode format, centric episodes with flashbacks! USA TODAY is also reporting that we will be finally finding out more about the pasts of Faraday and Miles before the end of the season.
Lindelof said the show “becomes a lot more character-centric, for those people who were more confused or scratching their heads , it’s sort of normalized.”
Accordinging to Cuse, the love triangle will also play a big part in upcoming episodes, with Juliet very much aware of the problems Kate’s return might cause. Cuse also hinted that they were aware that the time travelling idea might put some viewers off, something which has been argued across the boards with Lost seeing the viewing figures down by 18% this season.
Taking all this into consideration Lindelof compared the show to college coursework and said “College gets harder as you go on, and you’re now taking Advanced Lost.”
This is definitely something we can all agree on, Lost has been turned up a gear this season, with most of us trying our best to keep up, but isn’t that part of the appeal of the show? Now we seem to be getting answers, and the end is coming into sight, the pace will surely not be slowing down anytime soon.
USA TODAY also reports that producers have said we will get more answers in upcoming episodes to questions such as how did Hurley find out about getting to Ajira 316 and how was Sayid captured?

Advanced LOST. HAhaha! Great article tri.
thanks haha, i thought that was a great quote!
One of the most superior aspects of this show is: It’s still getting better with every new little twist and shocking information that new episodes provide us with.
Advanced LOST indeed. Also astounding how ambiguous the initial Title “The Circle” was: To start watching the show from scratch becomes more fun with every new completed season. So watching LOST “Full Circle” will be doubtless compulsory for every true LOST fan (at the latest) in 2010.
they have a college course on Lost at Tufts.

I wish the smoke monster would eat the love triangle…it has become such a bore. If I want that junk I’ll tune into Grey’s Anatomy. And hopefully in the not too distant future time travel will end (getting out of the ’70s) and we can all remain in some exciting present.
yea agreed im very bored with the triangle or rectangle as it seems to be now.
I couldn’t agree more about the love triangle.
I’m kind of digging the Dharma Initiative thing, though.
What, none’a you guys ever cheated on your wives/girlfriends?
Oh, wait, none’a you guys have wives/girlfriends ’cause you ain’t understanding the art of romance!
How can you know which gal/guy (don’t ask don’t tell) is the right one of there’s nothing to compare ‘em to???
I take back what I said about time travel, sorta. My favorite episodes thus far this season are Jughead and the one that followed, during the rapid skips through the island’s ‘greatest hits.’ But the Kate/Sawyer Kate/Jack thing. Ugh. It’s a classic case of “I want what I can’t have.” At this point I prefer the Juliet character to Kate.
I’ve always preferred Juliet to Kate.
Seriously, when has Kate NOT caused trouble?
She needs a major personality change.
Kate brings nothing to the greater story arc of the show. Juliet is an Other and a fertility doctor. She knows things that we need to know. Aside from her role with Aaron, Kate is a worthless character.
Yeah. Kate is really annoying. I h8 k8.
The time travel was a device that served the story well, got us to the point where we find out the naked plot of Lost.
My guess is, the Losties gotta’ go back to the future so we’ll so more time travel at one point.
i like the difficulty, it’s weeding out all the morons. if you’re not intelligent, this is no longer the show for you (was it ever?). keep the advanced ciriculum coming.
That’s harsh, “all the morons”? My dad is definitely not a moron and he jumped off the LOST bus midway thorough season 4, it was just becoming too complex to make sense of and he didn’t like watching a show that he’d have to call his obsessed son and spend 1/2 hour getting everything explained to him. Those 20+ million fans at the beginning was the worst thing that could have happened, it set the bar way too high for a show that one can’t miss many episodes etc. Some people have lives, you know!
Very well written. This is the kind of information that is useful to those want to increase their SERP’s. Keep up the good work.
