Sound to me more like Martin is just a douche. I mean, I read all of imfromthepast’s stuff, and he makes these kinds of predictions all the time. They’re documented all over this site and the ‘lage. I mean, lets give a little bit of credit here, because I watched the sneak peaks and this didn’t even occur to me until Jim said it. Then I was like, “D’oh!”

I think they will, but not just yet. I agree that I believe Daniel was wrong about what exactly the incident was. Perhaps Jack will attempt to detonate the hbomb and fail! and we will see that this failure leads to 815 landing safely and an alternate timeline. Of course, for Jack to realize he made a mistake, he would have to somehow travel back to the future.

I just have to say this because everyone has been talking about how Jack is going to detonate the hydrogen bomb and flight 815 will never crash. But i dont think thats what is going to happen I think that he will detonate the hydrogen bomb but that is what the incident is. I think that they had to push that button every 108 minutes because of what jack will do. I think that if jack does not detonate the bomb that 815 wont crash but if he does then it will crash. I think that when Daniel told Jack about that, that he was just thinking about saving Charlotte and he wasn’t thinking rationally. People have been saying all season whatever Happened, Happened I don’t think they will change that on us all if a sudden.

People are trying to explain why “Jacob’s eye” is brown in the Cabin but might be a different color when we see him next. I don’t think the dude in the cabin with the beard was Jacob at all. Just another dead guy who “spoke on his behalf” as Christian put it.

The only character that said the man in the chair was Jacob was Ben and he is not very trustworthy.

I know Carlton Cuse said we saw “Jacob’s Eye” in the cabin in “The Man Behind the Curtain” commentary. But now I take that as a mislead like “Anakin Skywalker was killed by Darth Vader”.

I take what Cuse said to be mean that guy was more like “The Mouth of Sauron” in the lord of the rings. “Mouth” was a separate man from Sauron but he was his PR guy and spokesman who was so interconnected with Sauron that his own separate identity was lost, so in a sense when you heard him speak you were listening to Sauron. So what Bearded Guy / Christian see and hear, Jacob sees and hears and they deliver the messages Jacob wants but they aren’t literally Jacob yet “from a certain point of view” they are.

In the comic book series THE INVISIBLES, there is a woman from the future named Robin.
When they find her broken time machine that she came in, it is studied by a scientist who, through it, learns how to make it.
Once he makes it, Robin uses it to travel back in time, in the first place.
On LOST, I think the island, and it’s energies, are harnessed to make a time machine.
Perhaps Jacob is the traveller who uses it to try to go back and save humanity from extinction.
BUT, the important thing is… that the island, the discovery of time-travel (through things like Farraday’s notebook), and the wheel, itself…
need to be preserved. Also, certain people need to be preserved…
for this traveller to even exist, at all.
Perhaps this is why he has a covert group like the others, working to keep elements in place while other elements are rearranged to make the future a better place.
Just a thought.

But even at this stage in the game and according to Darlton, we STILL don’t have enough information about the show to form a complete analysis. And having read something just a few moments ago (its spoilery so I will not comment further on what I read), I’m certain there is a S6, and THANK GOD, cause frankly, I’m not ready to say G’BYE to LOST just yet. =]

WOW…that just cemented my thoughts on the fact that I believe these are the whispers we keep hearing on the island! The stuck in time/and/or traveling losties. which is why on some of those playback audio snippets of the whispers, we think we recognize some of the ppl’s voices. WOW.

Nice post; thanks for sharing your thoughts about the spoiler videos. I agree with your prediction that Jack is on some sort of “road to redeemption”. I believe this even more after re-watching episodes 1-6 from season One this past week. [my 12 yr. old and I are starting to RE-watch our DVDs of Season 1-3 in order to stem off any LOST withdrawals once Season 5 is over...LOL!]. Those first few eps. were VERY Jack and Locke-centric. While I don’t want to diminish any of the other characters, I think it still comes down to the man of faith vs. the man of science, and in the end Season 6 will again revolve around Locke and Jack.

“Newly resurrected Locke finds his way to the big Island and finally catches back up with Richard. Richard asks Locke what happened to him when he pulled that vanishing act after returning from the Orchid. Locke tells him all about his Excellent Adventure and about leaving the Island and dying. Locke tells Richard about being shot by Ethan and being patched up by Richard. Richard doesn’t remember this happening, because it hasn’t happened yet, so he goes hang out by the Drug plane every night until one night he finds a wounded John Locke. He removes the bullet from Locke’s leg, gives him the compass, tells him that he needs to get his friends back and to do that he is going to have to die.”
