Darlton have announced there selections for the season five finale twist codename, and at least one of the picks doubled as a very subtle hint.  Click through for the code names, and vote for your favorite.

The “hint” was with the hooded leprechaun, Damon said that knowing what the final scene was this selection seemed oddly appropriate. Vote for your favorite:

  1. The Hooded Leprechaun.

Hmmm. Daniel + Pot of GOlD (zero-mass)

  2. imfromthepast says:

leprechauns are from Scotland, right? So is Desmond…hmmm.

    • Wintermute says:

Leprechauns are from Ireland, not Scotland. If you confuse an Irishman for a Scotsman, or vice versa, either one is likely to beat the tar out of you. :)

I think it’s Desmond too. They didn’t say it was spot on, they said it was appropriate.

        • triangulatedsignal says:

ok im irish and its not appropriate to say a leprechaun can be scottish!! haha its not remotely appropriate prof, they are different countries! differnt cultures! and different traditions lmao

        • brent says:

With all the season 5 mirroring season 2 I’m leaning towards a Desmond centric finale this year. BUT. “Hooded” seems to make a very direct reference to how we see Locke resurrected on the Island.

  3. Chooch says:

Hooded leprechan cousin to the Travelocity Gnome??

  4. Kier says:

    Charlie comes back?

  5. clueless1der says:

    *ahem*

    NOBODY EXPECTS… THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!!

  6. Rcatz says:

I forgot to enter into the contest…I would submitted “The Kansas City Shuffle”

  7. PenelopeWidmore says:

Hooded Leprechaun? Wasn’t kid version Ben wearing a hood in this last episode?

  8. Hexonxonx says:

    The last option is misspelled.

  9. Kevinn says:

I’d say that it’s obv Ben. But just the fact that it’s obvious, makes me think I’m wrong.

  10. Cecil says:

The inner geek in me giggles at “The Droids You’re Looking For”

  11. Aaron says:

    Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

i think “The Hooded Leprechaun” will be picked because the finale, i believe and can’t remember if it was mentioned elsewhere, is going to be the purge…and we all know, Lil Ben was wearing a hoodie when Sayid shot him…possibly (my own thoughts) after jack fixes up his shot wound, he will then meet with Richard and plan the purge…. and thus..it’ll be called the Hooded Leprechaun.. and according to wikipedia.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leprechaun … a leprechaun is someone who enjoys partaking in mischief.. which since his first mischief act, which was Ben running away from home and metting Richard Alpert..he’s been involved in mischief…bringing Sayid sandwiches and books..which obviously his dad didn’t know about and i don’t believe Horace would send a child to bring Sayid a sandwich when Horace and other DI people voted to kill Sayid BECAUSE they wanted to keep the children safe and protect them….he’s been involved in mischief since…makes sense to me…

    • professorstotch says:

      Wow…spoiler alert.

    • dolce says:

Close, but that’s not the title. It starts with the letter I.

    • Arinen says:

Coz Wikipedia will NEVER lead you wrong!!! Honestly, you had to look it up there to find out what a leprechaun was?

I’m hoping for “The droids you’re looking for”, thats a classic, but it is often something totally random, like “the rattlesnake in the mailbox”, none of them have actually meant anything except for last season. Its just the producers warped sense of humour there.

Also, if you base something like that on the fact that the character wears a hoodie, youre gonna have quite a lot to sift through, thats just silly.

I have to say…I kind of feel like this is stupid. I mean, if fans pick the name, it’s not nearly as fun as the PTB choosing the name and then letting the fans guess if it has anything to do with the real twist or not. That’s what makes it interesting. A bunch of people, having no idea what the twist is, assigning a silly name to it is cute, but not fun or intriguing in any way.
