Comment System Locked Down

Well, it is against my better judgment, but I’m going to have to lock down the comment system once again.  No commenting without registration, and no registration without a valid e-mail address.  There are a couple of variety of bad-apples that have brought this on, and this serves as a good basis for a few rules…

Spoilers – First, someone has been sailing through and posting 5.01 and 5.02 spoilers.  This person has been hiding behind a proxy but has made a few critical mistakes that have allowed us to identify him – and I must say I am a bit surprised.  Regardless, posting of spoilers is forbidden in the comment.

Proper registering of complaints – Essentially, the anonymous system seems to have given some of you the idea that you don’t have to think before you speak.  The fact is, the site is run by adults – childish verbal attacks aren’t going to be tolerated.  Every effort is made to run a tight ship here, but we have our own standards and sometimes you might disagree with them.  That does not mean you get to call me, the contributors, or other contributors names or carry on like a kid with a skinned knee.  We all love the show and want to do right by it and you, but at the end of the day it is just a TV show.

Think before you post, and if you are angry at something I have done by all means use the contact link and tell me about it.  If I agree, I’ll probably do something about it.  I enjoy feedback, however you are going to find out that I am not very agreeable when your complaint is preceded by name calling and emotional displays that ‘over the top’ to say the least.

So it’s simple.  No spoilers, respect each other and the site, and think before you decide to show the other readers how well you can lose your cool – nobody wants to see anybody whine.
