How about a section for plain old fashioned SPOILERS?? I prefer to be spoiled so I can relax and appreciate the episode without having to pick up on messages and voices and signs all the time. Can there be a mailing list where we get mailed spoilers?? Thanks Doc!

Your first review (which was awesome) implies that the “who”, the “where”, and the “when” of the opening scene are fairly momentous. The second review reveals two of those three. I think that’s significant.

Yes, that is a light spoiler, and the least significant part of the opening. Return after the premiere if your mind isn’t completely blown.

I did like the review, but if you see the trailers you know what the opening scene is gonna be like. That hooded person dude.. To not spoil any further, it’s easy to know who that guy is if you see what he’s doing in the trailer: 1+1=2 on that one. Now I know he’s in the SPOILER: [Removed now]. I hope the opening scene’s surprise won’t be on that one, because that’s ruined now.

If anyone really feels spoiled, they need to grab a dharma tissue, wipe their tears away, and go spend some time around radiation, find the island, and send your sorry mind back in time to a point before you read the article, but dude, you better get yourself a constant so you can make it back in time for season 5!

There is no major spoiler in there, and you can’t say that for certain until you have seen the episode. Relax. The best surprises from that opening are preserved.

You guys are nuts. When you see the scene you will know that it is not spoiled at all. AND, by the way… the director of publicity at Lucasfilm, John Singh, sent along Kudos for the review saying “I have to say, kudos to the guy who wrote the review of the season premiere of LOST. Impressive. I am a sucker for reading stuff I shouldn’t, and I was worried about reading this one … and not only is it well-written, it doesn’t spoil, while it DOES excite and raise the anticipation even further!”

If someone that closely associated with George Lucas says it was spoiler free, it is.

Spoiler light means there are spoilers, but no major reveals. If you deem it a major spoiler, that is your opinion – not mine. Remember though, I’m the one who knows how much was revealed and how much wasn’t. Either way, if you ignore a spoiler warning it is your own fault. Stop crying in the comments that you were spoiled. In this case, I feel the things I did not reveal are of greater magnitude then what I did – hence “Spoiler-light.” Nobody is going to feel sorry for you.

Here’s another spoiler…within the first 10 minutes of the start of each episode this season, you will see the word “LOST” fly across a black background.

Yeah, I agree that the review seemed to contain at least one major spoiler. I stopped reading the article as I got partway into the sentence, but I’m still pretty upset. There’s a big difference between telling us what the opening scene evokes from a previous episode versus revealing the secret. One is a tease that gets the reader excited to see the episode, the other one kills the tension by telling the reader what he’s going to see.

Man, why did you spoil the beginning? That sucked man, I was totally hyped because I read in this other review that the first scene would be epic and surprising like Desmond’s in season two. And now I already know what happens -.-’ Thanks dude.
