Locke never knew Jacob met him, John was UNCONSCIOUS: (See transcript below)

[Jacob sits on a bench, reading Everything That Rises Must Converge by Flannery O'Connor. Suddenly, a man falls to the ground behind him -- John Locke. People rush to see what happened. Jacob stands, and walks over.]

WOMAN: Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Call 9-1-1!

[Jacob kneels beside the ***UNCONSCIOUS*** Locke and places a hand on his shoulder. John seems to come back to life.]
