I combed the episode to find anything that might be worth taking another look at. If anyone feels I’ve missed something that might be of importance, let me know and I’ll try to find what you’re looking for. I think some of these screen caps may raise a question or two, like, why is young Widmore wearing a uniform with the name “Jones” on it?

Libby is not the girl in the picture with Daniel.
The reason Widmore is wearing a Jones tag is because he and the others killed all the U.S. soldiers and took their gear. I thought that was pretty clear.
Good call. Did not occur to me.
We may know how they got their tents and uniforms, but it still does not explain why they are wearing the uniforms. Richard is not wearing one, and I assume the others of the past had clothes of their own.

I thought the woman caretaking for the woman Farraday left looks like the woman, Ellie, from the island. I am guessing some kind of power struggle and Ben won.
They should have called this episode “In Which We Meet Mr. Jones”

I agree that the woman in the picture with Farraday looks like the caretaker woman that Des spoke to.
I think the picture in Widmore’s office was interesting. It looks like it has a polar bear, a cabin and a man looking over things. Of course the picture has Namaste written on it. Can’t remember the order until I rewatch, but if it wasn’t revealed by then that Widmore was on the island, this should have clued us in.
I have not fully formulated my theory yet, but does anyone else think that Daniel loves Charlotte because they are brother sister? Maybe Mrs Farraday was on the island and got together with Widmore. Since Daniel has time traveled through many timelines on the island, maybe he became aware of this. Something about the “I need to find where I was born” thing keeps grabbing my attention.
The woman in the picture with Faraday doesn’t look anything like the caretaker (Abigail). The woman in the picture is the woman the caretaker is taking care of (Theresa).
I think that’s what they want you to think…I think the 2 women are supposed to be sisters. Add hair to Abigail and there would be some similarities.

I love reading posts on other boards/sites that claim fumigation is a french word, or spanish word. Or the best ones are the posts that claim it’s an anagram.
Am I the only one who noticed the painting in Widmore’s office that says, “Namaste” and has a Polar Bear on it?
they showed this before when Desmond was asking for Widmore’s permission to marry Penny.
I didn’t notice the art hanging in Widmore’s office that says “Namaste” across the top while I was watching.
I mentioned that above, also there is something there that looks like a cabin and a man’s face looking down that kind of looks like Widmore.

They used the same sets for the monastery, Oxford, and… um… one other place that’s escaping me.
To those of you who didn’t notice the polar bear art in Widmore’s office: Go back and watch “Flashes Before Your Eyes.” Not only was the painting in the office then, it was on the opposite wall and reversed. Go look! Do it now!
I looked! It was the same! It was reversed! It was on the opposite wall! Prop errors?! Or a bigger meaning!?
Must be a bigger meaning, this programme is too clever for a prop error…
I noticed it was reversed too, maybe because time was reversed!?
I also think the paintings in Widmore’s office looks like the paintings in Thomas’s apartment (Thomas=Claire’s boyfriend/Aaron’s father). Maybe there is a connection between Widmore and Thomas. Check out “Raised By Another”.
I would like to see what happened to Thomas anyway. I remember some theories that Thomas was a younger Ben. With time travel and the fact we know Ben left the island before, maybe it isn’t impossible, but still unlikely. The actors look so similar though. It would give more reason for Aaron to be “special”.

probably a stupid question but what is Namaste? There’s just so much to take in, in this programme…lol
I wonder how Charles went from being an Other, to being so successful. Then again Ben has so many connections and alot of money as well. What happened between these guys? Maybe Charles stole Annie from Ben and Ben got revenge by taking the island. We shouldn’t assume that Annie was ever more than a friend I guess, they do trick us a lot. I can’t wait for more of Ben’s backstory.
The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. “Nama” means bow, “as” means I, and “te” means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.”
