James Locke is the actor's real name, not the in-show character name. In the show he's just a mechanic.

Hmm.. William P. Ogilvie was in 3.15 (Left Behind) in the role of 'Man' and according to IMDB.com that is the same actor.
Starletta DuPois as 'Mom'? Maybe Michael's 'Mom'?
And why is there a 'female anchor'? Will we learn more about what the world at large thinks about Oceanic 815?
What? I don't see Jeremy Davies name listed... I am trying not to read the spoilers for ep. 5 so I hope he's not going to bite it, I really like him.

My thought exactly. Michael (along with Walt) made it back to the real world, kept a low profile and changed his name to Kevin Johnson (What was the name in the news article from "Through The Looking Glass"?). My guess is that the episode will start with a news report of the (faked) wreckage of Oceanic 815. We won't know who's watching it until the camera pans around and we see Michael's face.
As far as the "man on the boat" thing, I think it's too obvious for it to be Michael at this point. I think it will be someone we don't know yet.
