Anyone have any guesses? For me, it looks like Richard is in charge of some military-type of group. At first I was thinking we’d be in the past, and Richard would be in charge of this army that’s on the island. However, I then noticed there’s this random female holding a gun in a bunch of pictures. Depending on how far in the past it would be, we wouldn’t be seeing women in an army. Unless it’s an unofficial army. I want answers!
I don’t think it’s an “official” army of any country. I think they’re the hostiles.
But did they originate from any type of official army? They appear to have uniforms and military type weaponry.
When John saw Richard (after he went back in time), and he was fixing up his wound he said something like, “The next time you see me, I will not recognize you.”
So it is probably in he past.
Any else notice how Richard never ages?
And if they’re any relation to those who attacked the camp and almost cut Juliet’s hands off…those guys had nametags on their uniforms. A rag tag group of hostiles wouldn’t have uniforms like that. Think of “The Man Behind the Curtain” when we saw Richard as one of the “hostiles.” No uniform, beard, scrappy clothes. Much different than what we’re seeing from these people in the pics.

Yeah, you make a good point.
My original thinking was that the flaming arrows were the hostiles and the people who ambushed Juliette and Sawyer were Dharma Security (I posted that in another thread). But after seeing these pics, it seems clear that the people who attacked Juliette and Sawyer are led by Alpert (if you look at the upper right pic, these people have nametags too).
So, now I really don’t know. Maybe Richard in “The Man Behind the Curtain” was in costume like the Others would frequently wear. Maybe the pics we’re seeing is of the Natives from before Dharma came around and forced them underground. Can’t wait to find out!

The only reason I’m thinking they’re not from the future is because of the fact that Richard appears to have everyone captured. If this was in the future, he should recognize everyone. Right?
