sawyer_gun.jpgDoc Jensen's report from his recent visit to the Lost set is up here.

A brief spoiler summary from the article:

  • The Shape of Things to Come includes 'a raging gunfight that will decimate Camp Locke' (and a body that washes ashore at Camp Jack)
  • The Episode is also a Ben FF, and we'll see him 'globe-trotting' as his fight with Charles Widmore for control over the Island ramps up
  • Also in TSOTTC: The Sayid/Nadia love story is 'revisited'
  • TSOTTC: Claire begins a story arc that sets up the next few episodes and the next few years
  • TSOTTC:Smokey returns, and Hurley has an encounter with him
  • Episode 10 will include a Jack FF that will explain how he has become the broken man we saw in the Season Three Finale FF
  • There's only one FB in the remaining episodes of the season, and the producers say it will be 'mythically significant'
  • We'll visit the Orchid and it may help us to understand the time traveling features of the Island
  • Penelope, Richard Alpert and Abbadon will all make appearances
  • More hints on that 'spectacular kiss: The May 22 finale will complicate the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle by featuring ''a spectacular kiss''
  • The Finale will also give hints as to how difficult it may be for Jack to get back to the Island
  • Lindelof says that flashes may become irrelevant after Season 4

Sounds as though we are in for quite a ride!

If Hurley can communicate with Jacob and go through the same experience with the smoke mountain that Locke has than he effectively usurps Locke's position as island holy man. This idea stinks and completely derails Locke's story that has been building for four years. If the writers had such an idea they should have established it earlier and more clearly than season 4. It has been established that Hurley has had strange experiences, like others have but if they are taking it in the direction of Hurley having a connection as strong and purposeful as Locke then they are going in the wrong direction. I am basing my position from the recent revelation that Hurley can see the cabin and will, according the the spoilers above, have an experience with the monster.

sounds intruiging. i hope they don't kill off Claire. she's the hottest bird on the show.

So possibly we see the present and flashes sync up and no more more flashes? Interesting

Doc, I think you meant *Charles* Widmore. Not Alan.

teehee, it's kinda fun to see that even you slip up once in a while. Keep up the great work otherwise.

It's too early to get rid of the flashes now- we still need flashbacks for Ben, Richard, Charles Widmore, Penny, Jacob, Danielle if she's still alive, Daniel, Miles, Charlotte, Frank, Abaddon, and any other important characters that come up in the last two years. For everyone else, having no more flashes is no big loss. But we can't solve a lot of big Lost mysteries without those characters getting flashes.

who said anything about the sub?

Gah! Yes I meant Charles! Thanks for the catch. I must have been thinking of the actor's name, Alan Dale. Sorry!

"Come on Jawyer!" Nah, they've already said it's a hetero kiss. There was lots of speculation that since the kiss was "spectacular" it had to be something like Des and Penny, but I suspected it would just be the same old triangle. Wonder why they're overhyping a kiss so much, I couldn't care less, especially with everything else going on with the show.

The sub gets a mention in the video with the linked article (they just show the prop, doesn't mean it wasn't destroyed).

I assume we'll still have flashbacks and flashforwards next season, just with some new twist thrown in.

I was mostly joking about Jawyer... Mostly. ;) I have wondered if it's Sawyer and Juliet recently. That would complicate things a bit. :)

blah!!! how can kate-kissing-anybody be called "spectacular" at this point?? that's interesting about claire, I wonder if that indicates she doesn't die? if the story arc lasts for years... Madness! (I guess she doesn't have to be involved in the long-term arc.)

dig on sawyer's hair in that shot above.
