In an interview with Paige Albiniak, our TPTB tease us about what's to come:
- "Season 4 is about who gets off the island and the fact that they need to get back. Season 5 is about why they need to get back, and season 6 is about what happens when they get back." - DL
- The Oceanic 6 will get off the Island, but one will die. We will learn who this unfortunate character is before the end of the season.
- "There will be very significant mysteries answered in the seventh
episode," says Cuse. "The eighth episode is non-traditional and the
start of something new."

"The start of something new"? I've got it: flash durings! We'll hear the sound of a plane taking off, and then we'll see what the character is doing right at that moment!
The fact that someone will die from the Oceanic 6 is awesome, so many people think that the Oceanic 6 are "safe".
We are back to the train of thought "no one is safe"!
bye Sun
As funny as you think it is, Ali, "flash-durings" are a great idea...
Polar bears and bunnys can be in two places at the same time...
Why not Losties?...
Namaste,...and good luck.
Judging by the last episode it looks like Claire is the one to die
hooray! this totally validates the theories i've been ranting about to people irl. *very proud*
littlefrogling, you should share those theories here! :)
I've been worried about Jin's inevitable death. He was arrested for a DUI in hawaii in October. (I was in Hawaii when it happened, it was front page news.)
And we all know what happens to the actors on LOST who get DUI's.....
(Chewie!!!!!)
"This "Oceanic 6" make it off the island, but one will die - exactly who will be revealed this season."
I wonder if that's something they got from the producers, or something they are assuming. My guess is the latter - I assume they don't realize that people like Ben and Aaron are off the island but may not be included in the O6.
I guess we'll find out later on, it will be funny if people go nuts with theories based on that bit, and it turns out to be wrong.
Obviously the person who dies from the Oceanic 6 is the person in the casket... Sayid had had enough perhaps (The day I trust you is the day I sell my soul)?
Or (more likely) its not so obvious...
I tell you what though, I'd rather be Lost and never found.
you know if you have ever read the complete series of narnia that 6 kids - edmond - lucy - jill - eustace - susan and peter - all visit - but at the final battle one doesnt come back to narnia - susan who stopped believing - i wonder who susan's going to be in lost - narnia - world?
Milo, am I missing something with your comments about one of the O6 dying by the end of the season? The quote came from Damon Lindelof, one of the PRODUCERS. Who is the "they" that you think may be assuming? If Lindelof said one of them is toast, I think you can be assured it will happen.
time_lord:
Very very interesting. I hadn't considered that. From the (small) amount of info we know already, it seems like Kate best fits that Susan role, although I can't imagine the lead female not getting back to the island. However, she definitely doesn't want to go back, and never wanted to stay, despite knowing she faced possible jail time upon returning to Non-Narnia.
Hmm.
However, I have to remind myself that it seems like the show is ever only *somewhat* comparable to the literary references that stick out.
Cool theory.
did they actually confirm it was an oceanic six member?
....from eggtown we learned that the 6 seem to get a lot of media attention yet the funeral was empty
I wouldnt trust everything that Lindelof guy says. Hes kinda shifty.
If Jin and Suns unborn baby dies, would he/she be considered "from the Oceanic Six?"

time_lord, I agree with your theroy and I like your connection with Susan and possibly Kate. I wonder if the point would be that because Susan stopped believing in Narnia she was finally free of being draw back there. "She is no longer a friend of Narnia".
If there is a connection with The Chronicles of Narnia and Lost, who were the strangers of the Shadowlands? The point being that there were great consequences onto all of Narnia for every "Foreigner" that arrived. Digory's Uncle Andrew and Jadis were also alien to Narnia and they both effected Narnia in there own way,(Uncle Andrew created the lamp post and Jadis who became the White Whitch).
I just wanted to point out that The Chronicles of Narnia is full of instances where it is continually visited by "Others" and that they tend to dominate and rule, (good or bad), over the true residents of Narnia. The significance of this refrence to The Chronicles of Narnia, I believe, is the fact that there has always been people from outside being drawn to the island to create events that seem predesitned.
