>: Kristin's Recap asks some great Questions!

Kristin.jpgThe wonderful Kristin Dos Santos at E! has noted some very intriguing points about Eggtown in her recap.

These caught my attention:

  • Kate's adoption of Aaron as her own does not make us optimistic about Claire's future well-being.

  • She reminds us that the producers have said since before the pilot aired that Aaron is key to  understanding Lost and the Island

  • She asks where were the Oceanic 6 found? Odds are high that it was not our Island, but an island all the same.
From Jack's testimony at Kate's trial, it certainly sounds as thought the O6 were not simply rescued and flown to safety. It seems as though they were dropped off on some other island. Does this mean there was also fake wreckage on that island?
  • Why is the story being told to the world that 8 survived? Just when we'd wrapped our heads around 6, now we have two more to figure out.

  • Kristin has a really interesting take on why Kate leaps at the deal that would require her to remain in CA for 10 years--it very conveniently keeps her from returning to the Island.
I'd recommend that you read her full recap. She's always entertaining and a rabid fan of this show!

Spoilerphobes, she does have very mild spoilers at the end of the article, but they are well-marked so you won't just stumble upon them.

I doubt there was fake wreckage on the island from which they were rescued (though I do believe it wasn't our island). During the trial, Jack said something along the lines of "The plane crashed at sea, and 8 of us made it to shore." I can't remember the exact quote. My question is, why would Kate's lawyer want a child that young to testify? He can't be older than 2.

I don't think he wanted Aaron to testify. I think he just wanted him in the courtroom to draw sympathy from the jury.

Jack's story could suggest that they were left on another island to be rescued, or that they are all simply telling the same lie. It probably works better as them all telling the same lie, because then the Sunda Trench 815 fits in with their story better...

remember what Desmond saw in one of his flashes? Claire and Aaron getting into a helicopter and leaving the island. just a clue (;

While Claire may die, at this point I think that's probably too obvious - if they go that route, nobody will be surprised. She may just be left on the island, turniphead forcibly taken away.

I totally agree about Kate's deal preventing her from returning to the island (although I could see her violating her probation). But I don't know if Kate wanted that, or if it will just become a future plot point.

I often read the Kristen stuff, but I think she's often pretty careless with the spoilers for a mainstream site - she spilled that Sayid was in the O6 weeks early and got called on it by the producers.

what i think is that clair is still on the island and is being examined b/c her power to give birth, the one and only. they O6 is still covering up the fact just as any "others" that might have made it back into society to benifit ben.

whacha think of that?

There aren't 8 survivors. In Jack's testimony, he said only 8 of us survived, and then was about to say something about the 2 that "didn't make it" when Kate interrupted him

loki, if Juliet is right that the problem occurs at conception, then it would follow that Claire and Rousseau were able to complete their pregnancies.

But that certainly doesn't rule out that Claire may still be on the island in the FF's.
