Nice find, Doc. Damn $96.99 for the blueray set, if the price doesn't drop I might just get the regular boxset instead.

KeepingAwake said:

They are not actually going to charge full-season prices for this!! *shakes head*

gusteaux said:

Come on ABC, it's a short season, at least give us the Mobisodes too.

Andrew said:

Did anyone else notice that the O6 are bright in comparison to the others on the box? Interesting...

I like the city reflection in the water. Nice flash-forward touch.

Rob said:

You are only getting 3 episodes less then what they planned so you are pretty much getting a full season. Unlike Heroes where they better not charge full price for season 2. Heroes they only got like Half a season finished really because of the strike. Lost though was only going to have 16 episodes but now they are going to have 13. So it is not like you are missing 11 episodes.

Coop said:

What a rip! Going from 24 to 14 episodes and it all being the same price.

lostfanboy16 said:

It doesn't matter to me if they are charging for a 23 episode season rather then a shorter one because shows like dexter and deadwood have short seasons and are the same as 23 episode ones.

MizuNoHane said:

That's not the official cover art, is it? Because the lighting looks hideous...
Also, they should not charge us $60 for a season that was, even before the strike shortened it further, only 66% as long as the three season sets before it.

ForgivenTheWarlord said:

I agree with the griping about the price. It's just ridiculous to pay the same price for 14 that you would for 24. Hopefully this gets straightened out before it's released.

rob said:

lol at me for looking for spoilers in the description. who cares how much it costs yo, worth every penny.

ForgivenTheWarlord said:

I agree that it's still worth every penny... but still, it's the principle.

But, what did I expect? This is from the company that brought us "Cinderella 4: With a Vengeance" and "2 Beauty 2 Beast".

Uncle Beaver said:

Remember how upset we all were when the writer's strike postponed and shortened this season? Most fans were behind the writers, saying they deserved more compensation, that we, the fans should support these writers as much as we could. Well, the TV and marketing execs know just how to make up for this little increase they are paying the writers. Not having the Mobisodes in this set, however, is UNACCEPTABLE!

almost $100 for blu-ray for a short season? damn........

I want those phone episodes at least...damn....

It isn't even may yet and we are griping about the price and what is on the dvd's. I am sure their will be changes in the content before December and hey the box sets for HBO dramas are the same price and only 12 eps.

milo said:

That pricing is insane, a complete ripoff. If 23-25 hours worth of show costs $60, then 14 hours of show should be about $35-40 list and $25 in the stores. They better listen to the backlash and change their mind before this thing ships or they're going to see pretty weak sales.

When they announced that the 3 final seasons would be 16 each, some people said it was just an excuse to make more money on DVD box sets - looks like they were right, this is a money grab on ABC's part.

We're not just missing out on 3 episodes since the original plan was 6-8 less than the previous seasons. I'll bet more people than usual skip buying it and just pirate the DVDs instead.

Skateboarder said:

I hope that they add more features, interesting ones that would make you want to watch them, not one about the firepower on LOST...BFD.

And 59 for DVD and 96 for Blu Ray? I love LOST, but that is way, way, way over priced.

No mention of the mobisodes or the video clips of Sam from find 815, both theses things would fit in nice with the 14 instead of 23 or 24 episodes.

Hopefully every episode will have some kind of commentary.

Ian said:

Would be nice if this time they actually made the BluRay boxset region free... It was totally ridiculous that they locked the S3 set to Region A, particularly as there is no sign of a high-definition release within Europe. If Lost S3 had not been transmitted in Europe it would be more understandable, but by the point of release it had been shown in all main Region B territories... The same will apply with S4 (the UK gets a HD transmission within a week of US transmission) but yet again I think that Disney/ABC are going to region lock the boxset. Why?

Can someone get onto the head honchos and find out why they are doing this, particularly as a lot of BD releases are not region locked? At least give the European offices a kick and get a UK release of the BD boxset... they don't even respond to emails over here.

fiona said:

Stop harping about the dollar price - in the UK it will be $80 + , the lighting does look weird doesn't it - Sawyer is getting so sidelined he will fall off the cover in Season 5 - do you reckon he is getting peeved throwing horseshoes about , at least he gets a bit of fun in episode 9 & 10

milo said:

So since the UK price is even higher, that makes it OK for the US version to be overpriced? That's an idiotic idea.

Ian said:

Just buy the episodes on itunes and pay 28 dollars for 14 of them.

Um.... someone say pre-order lost season 4 on amazon, cause if you do then you'll be paying like $66, so you'll save like $30, heck i'll do the free shipping too. (as long as i get it before season 5 starts, i'll fine with waiting the extra shipping days)
