s4ep03_16b.jpgIn the last scene of the 'The Economist,' we are taken to a pet hospital somewhere in Germany. Upon further inspection of that scene, there is something that seems odd. Compare the dog in the poster and the dog in the cage. I wonder if the Orchid has been working overtime.

what does the poster say? dont get anything of this

orlost said:

don't you think the dog in the cage also looks like a younger Vincent?

KeepingAwake Author Profile Page said:

I think the point was that the dog in the poster resembles the one in the kennel, as they are both beagles or beagle crosses. ;)

But to me, this might be reaching a bit to find a Casmir Effect. Beagles are such a popular breed that I think it's more likely to be a coincidence.

I don't think it's the same breed of dog.

Maybe the Orchid needs a tune-up.

Isnt this dog in a paitning at bens house in otherville?

I'm probably dumb, but... what exactly does this mean?

mikktigger said:

It doesn't look like the same dog to me...the dog in the poster looks to be a golden retreiver (like vincent) and the dog in the kennel is a beagle.

and speaking of not quite sure if it's the same...I'm not so sure that was Ben...I mean, yeah, it looks like him, but this is LOST...

I'm just on a trust no one kick here.

i think the dog in the poster is a puppy golden lab or maybe retriever. the dog in the cage is definetly a beagle. it's not the same dog

Wasn't there a painting of a dog in Jacob's cabin?

I just figured it was a play on the over run of Golden Retriever facts we've been given. Rememebr in the first TLE there was a site called "Retrievers of Truth" and the slogan was ""Friend. Companion. Soul mate. The yellow lab can read your mind. Hear you thoughts. Sense your pain. They can communicate without making a sound. Are you receptive?""

I think theres a definite connection in all of this, but I font think that dog is the same one as the poster at all.. come on, 90% of golden retrievers looked like that puppy when they were young. thats pretty weak Doc ;)

Is that a shadow (reflection) of someone in the in the window (mirror) of the door next to the poster?

That is the silhouette of Sayid before goes through that door.

The dog in the cage is an albino beagle. Beagles (like rabbits) tend to be used (unfortunately) in animal testing. Could this be Mittelos Biosciences? I think the fact that it is an "albino" is to draw comparisons to the islands' albino rabbits. I have a theory that the "vet" in the final scene is NOT Benjamin Linus (his name is never mentioned throughout the entire scene), but a "mirror twin" or "bad twin". The fact that beagles HUNT rabbits adds to the intrigue for me. Of course, I have no other evidence to support this theory, but this is LOST!

in english

Well they did try to show that ben had been off island with the hidden room thing so im pretty sure thats ben.

orlost said:

also notice that all the cages are not light EXCEPT for the Vincent baby dog. This has to be a clue. Also - interesting insight from Cyber solver indicating the "bad twin" theory.
