Think of the beauty of it: Patchy blew himself from The Looking Glass station all the way to the freighter! Feeling guilty about capping Charlie, McHail decides to help out Sayid and Desmond.

I could barely even hear them this time due to the rain in that scene.

I missed the first couple minutes after the commercial break that happened right after Ben was going to tell Locke who was on the freighter... did it not show Ben telling him who it was???

What is that lady holding as she jumps into the water?

Pause the trailer at 23 seconds to see the nappy hair outline of the "person you never expected to see again".

It's Michael. Or at least a black guy.

What if, as it's a face we never expected to see again, it's actually someone dead? Cus everyone knows michael is coming back and desmond didn't really know michael that long to react to it. So, it could very well be...Libby?

I could have swore that was Libby who jumped off the freighter with the chains wrapped around her.

Whomever it is that is jumping off the freighter - she's not holding any baby...she just has her arms up holding the chains that are wrapped around her (I guess so she doesn't get whacked in the head by the heavy chain as she goes overboard - because, you know...you wouldn't want to be unconscious when you go overboard with a bunch of heavy chains wrapped around you, now would you?

I don't think it was Libby...the face just didn't look familiar. Whoever she is...she did have dirty blonde frizzy (curly-ish) hair....

Regina, maybe?

I wonder if this will be the episode where we learn of the "deal" the Oceanic 6 struck, or if we will have to hold out for epi 8 or beyond for that.

Maybe it IS Regina...and Regina IS Ben's MOTB...and she was found out during the episode, which would explain why she's walking the plank.

How would it matter that you were conscious or unconscious if you were jumping into the ocean with a bunch of heavy chains wrapped around you?
Unless theyre not locked on her, and she's using them to get quickly down to the Looking Glass.....

I was just being facetious about not wanting to be unconscious since if you're being marched to certain death.

I am assuming that the person jumping off the freighter is being forced to "walk the plank" to certain drowning with the weight of the chains wrapped around her as she goes overboard.

If I were forced to choose death by drowning, I think I might prefer to be unconscious when I go as I could only imagine the unpleasantries.

As for your theory about a weight to help you sink faster and get to the Looking Glass...I hadn't thought about that...but I think the freighter is anchored way too far out for that to be the case. We know the Looking Glass is just a short paddle from the island's shore from the Season 3 finale last year.

Nah, It's defo michael whose on the boat. Although it would be awesome if it was libby. Finally get that back story. She could be the reason hurley is crying in the trailer.
