Season 4 of Lost was as much an act of retroactive brain washing as it was a continuation of a coherent story.  Coherent?  Lost?  Yes,
I realize the two words do not work well in the same sentence, yet I
can’t help but be bowled over by the sharp turn in Lost’s trajectory
that happened this season, let alone the seeming direction that it is
going in as it winds towards its conclusion.  Let me explain this in a little more detail.

The show, in…

Well, well, well…many of the usual cohort of amateur recappers and analyzers still have yet to be heard from after last Thursday’s freighter-fragging, Island-moving, O6-rescuing, rip-roaring season finale. (The pros like EW’s Doc Jensen, E! Online’s Kristin, BuddyTV’s Oscar Dahl, and our own dear DocArzt have all weighed in, of course.) I’m not surprised…there was just so much there to digest that even a “mere” recap could all too easily turn into War and Peace. So, this kind of makes…

“There’s No Place Like Home, part 1″ was a setup for something else.  We have lived through two episodes in three weeks that served as the basis for something else.  This episode does not stand it’s own, but as the first act to a three act story.  In a way, this episode serves as the meat, vegetables, and spices that are combined to make a stew.  Now that the ingedients are combined, we get to simmer over it while the flavors…

I caught some of the forum posting here and around the internet, and the first thing that surprised me was how many viewers complained that nothing was “new” in this episode and it was only a set up for the 2 hour closer due on May 29th.

I beg to differ.

What we learned…
1) Why Hurley winds up back in the mental hospital - the numbers again.
2) The baby story - Kate had her.
3) That Claire and Jin we not the other…

Locke was identified at birth as a potential chosen one.  Later, the method that Alpert used is similar to the way the Tibetan monks choose the Dalai Lama.  After the Dalai Lama passes, a search ensues for his reincarnation.  When a potential is found, articles that belonged to the previous Dali Lama are mixed in with other items.  If the child is the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama, then he would correctly identify the items that belong to him.  So…

Happy Friday morning, folks! Sevon here. So we all watched it, let’s talk about it. I’m not good at recapping and there are already plenty who do that, so I leave it to them. But we all now have even more questions, more thoughts, and I’m SURE more theories.

There are two possible ways to look at yesterdays episode of  LOST “Something Nice Back Home”, it was either a much needed break from the brain melting assault of episodes like “The Constant” and “Shape of Things to Come”, or it was a return to the tease and deny stalling of earlier seasons.   Personally, I take the mid-road and think it was a bit of each, but there are plenty of people on either side of the fence so I’m…

Nikki Stafford, author of the ‘Finding Lost’ books and the fearless editor of the book I am co-authoring with Hijix from Fuselage (and believe me, you have to be fearless if you’re going to be my editor) publishes a weekly recap on episodes that is second to none.  Here latest has just hit the interwebs:

This week’s episode boasted more of a story and less mystery than last week’s (thank goodness for that… my head is still hurting from that one),…
